that your stomach made rumbling noises? I experience that a lot and just a few hours ago ,at the dentist- it was quite embarrassing.. it made a loud noise even though I was covering it up with my hands..Good thing the dentist did not notice maybe because of the machine sounds.. But that is a bad sign isn't it, since it means you are very hungry and your stomach isn't functioning well anymore, burning something which isn't there..

I don`t think i can ever recall having to face such a situation in my life. First of all i always have a full breakfast which ensures that i do not feel hungry till my lunch time. I alwayss have a light lunch and then at teatime a few snacks.Dinner too is light, just enough to fill my belly without having to feel that i have overeaten.I always take care to keep my stomach two thirds full and one third empty so that digestion takes place propeerly. That keeps me healthy, trim and fit.

that is a good practice, i eat three meals a day too, but i guess my metabolism is quite fast so even if i eat breakfast (with rice ) i still get hungry later on

I will feel hungry now and then. I think sometimes I can eat a lot, but I am still thin. Probably I can digest the food faster. Or I can burn the energy so soon. So it seems that I can feel hungry faster than a fat person. this is very interesting. I love China

That is good for you- you might never be fat. Maybe your metabolism is fast. Even so, you should watch what you eat and stick to healthy food.

It can be very embarrassing. Here are some links I found interesting about the reasons and things you can do: http://www.buzzle.com/articles/rumbling-stomach.html http://www.ehow.com/how_5800071_ease-stomach-rumbling.html

Yes it has happened to me and still haunts me to this day. The most embarrassing thing is when I am in a library or a lecture and all the sudden I hear a loud rumble from my stomach. After that I feel so insecure... But anyway, when it does happen, I'm not always hungry, maybe just indigestion?

Maybe...but most probably it is because you are hungry since I read that the stomach can make that noise if it is not digesting any food... Yes, it is very embarrassing especially in really quiet rooms.

Hi lady! Yes, I experience that once in a while. And it wouldn't be just rumbling noises, it would be accompanied with stomach pain and it worse cases, there will be headache. And you're right, it's not good. When the stomach complains, we should listen to it or else, it would digest its own lining and even the small intestine will be in trouble.

Well, sometimes I experience being so hungry and my stomach really make loud noise. There are also times that when I am hungry, I feel so dizzy. Sometimes, my head will ache , then my eyesight will dim so I just sit myself because I cannot stand anymore. It is the reason I cannot leave the house without eating breakfast. It makes me afraid to go out with my stomach emptied because I might fall anytime.

I don't know if it was my mind playing tricks on me because I was hungry, to create an audio cue that I need to eat or what, but I think that I have heard something like this. There are times where my stomach has rumbled just a little bit, when it was time to eat. I really was hungry but of course, I rarely go so long without eating. Of course, there are times where my body knows it is about time to eat, but I am caught somewhere, having to do something. So it isn't going to put up with this waiting in any reason whatsoever. I am just going to sit there, waiting for that time to come. I swear I have really have heard this but it could really be a trick of my mind.

A person should never ever skip breakfast even though how late he or she may be.. You can grab a snack or something.. Or you would end up with the rumbling stomach or worse, faint.

Plenty of times but to me that is not a sign of being so hungry. Being so hungry is if I can't sleep anymore and my hair falls off, been there too.

I think that is an illness already, maybe ulcer?..and I hope it never comes to that. I think one should never starve him.herself to that point since it requires medical help already.

Yes, I have. I even starts imagining about the food I want to eat and for a second or 2 had loss of consciousness or fell asleep during an exam. That was funny at the same time embarrassing because our teacher notice that I kind of passed out during an exam. She was calling my attention, and it needs the nudge of the student beside me to wake up. :D Another thing was when I was away from home and in a boarding house because our home is far from the school where I was studying at that time. I got really hungry but the convenient store nearest to us was already close and we had a curfew :( I went to bed and slept on a very empty stomach.

I've gotten to the point in hunger where my stomach would grumble, then it's just stop and for awhile I felt as if I wasn't hungry and then maybe two hours later it'd grumble again. No it isn't good at all, but really it's natural and so you shouldn't feel ashamed.

I have had my stomach making noises, but I think not all the time it is due to hunger. Sometimes it depends on the kind of food I eat. It it it something that is difficult to digest, it makes noises too. It is embarrasing though!
