My dad called today and was telling me that the doctor said he has prostrate cancer. I was dreading hearing that because the last time I talked to him ,he said he was going for tests. Anyway, I am quite worried now because he's old and has other health issues too like rhumatoid arthitis and high blood pressure and so on. Anyway, my dad said something that struck me as funny, he said don't worry that his dad had a saying that said "you can't kill a wild weed" anyway, I said , well, I'm glad you still have a sense of humour and he laughed and said yes, well you have nothing without that. Anyway, he has to see yet another doctor to discuss treatments. He thinks he may only need radiation which is not as bad or hard on a person as chemotherpy. I will keep in closer contact with my parents to see how things are in future and should go to visit them again very soon. I hope God will watch closely over my dad as he goes through this trial in his life ,now. Thanks for your support, My Lot, friends.

Sorry to hear about your Dad finding out he has Cancer. I am sure that is not an easy thing for anyone to have to deal with, and I am sure even for him. That is why he is trying to make light of it to not have everyone worrying constantly about it. I know that things are getting better with Treatments these days than what their used to be. I Lost my Dad to cancer like 7-8 yrs ago. Even though I really did not know him, it has been hard and something I know I might need to watch for. My thoughts and Prayers are with your Dad and family at this time. Be strong and always Pray and believe for great things to come from this.

This is certianly something to consider seriously. It is a very common illness of elderly men and there are many different ways it shows it's self. Many cases mover very slowly but some are not that way. If it was me I would get on the Internet and learn everything I could. Not only will this help you help your Dad but it will help you handle your own fear. Blessings and prayers

Our body has its own capability of healing itself. It is the best doctor, even for dreaded diseases like Cancer. We just have to provide our body with its needed nutrients, to strengthen our immune system and fight off abnormal cells like Cancer cells. Take in immune booster Vitamins, like Vitamin C. There are also natural food supplements that are known for their cancer-fighting properties your father can take.

Prostate cancer is a common illness amongst male in their midlife, and as above, there are really a lot proven treatments, so you don't have to worry much about it as there is high success rate for treatments to cure this. Hopefully, with prayers and encouragement from family, your father would overcome this.

Cancer is hard to deal with at any age. I am sorry you dad has been diagnosed with it. It is good that it is just radiation, and not chemo...as it sounds like they caught it early. Your dad definately has the right attitude about it and will actually fair better when the going gets rough. Make sure to help out when you can and visit.

I don't know how to convey to you what I know without you getting to feel bad or think that I'm crazy. But "if you can't fix something unnatural use the natural". Because this is a human life that we're talking about, to hell with consequences! It's up to you whether to believe or not. Search for the word Guyabano in the net and look for it's health benefits. One of them is anti-cancer. And if you're lucky, you might even see the statement of a certain doctor that tells of how it was proven that the Guyabano can cure cancer. I hope this will help. But it's up to you whether to take my word for it or not. Have a good day and Happy MyLotting!
