Speedreading, does this really work?

I purchased this discounted voucher for a 3.5 hour speedreading class. I also checked on youtube some activities they do during the session. I really want to enhance the rate at which I read, as well as my reading comprehension. I hope this helps. Have you tried this at all?

I've always read quite quickly, so I can't comment on how good or bad a speedreading class might be. However, I've found that I tend to actually skip entire pages without reading them (and often without realizing it) for some reason. Maybe a class would help overcome this, but it's something to look out for.
Hope the class goes well for you!

Thanks Anne! Yes I'm hoping that this will enhance the rate to which I read. I have a reservation tomorrow for their 1pm class. I'm super excited, I'm going to med-school this June so this is a big deal for me.
You must have loved reading since you were a kid. They said, the earlier you develop your reading skills, the faster your comprehension and rate of reading is. But if you're interested you can watch a video on youtube.

I used to constantly speedread especially to review before tests, or if I had a lot of homework that night in different subjects. It personally worked for me, but might not work for everyone. Can't know until you try, so I hope it works for you!

Thanks! If it works for you, then I will make it work for me. They say, if you keep doing it then your brain starts to adjust or adapt. I have not set up an appointment yet with that class. But I practice most of the time, given the tips I've gotten from some of tutorial videos online.
