Talk about timing!

I had crawled in bed and was reaching to turn off the light when Abby, the pit lab mix, suddenly jumped from some unseen threat. At the same time she jumped sideways to the left, Khuay was jumping sideways to the right. Of course they collided, which caused them to jump opposite directions. When they landed the thing that spooked each of them in the first place frightened them again and they jumped left and right, jumping into each other...and again they jumped because they jumped into each other. This time Khuay jumped onto the bed and off the bed starting to race down the hall. Abby, during this time, had turned around and was starting to race from the area beside my bed...and guess what...Yep, you're right, they ran smack into each other again, scaring the crap out of both of them. This time, Khuay raced for the kitchen and Abby raced around the bed to hide in her bed! I couldn't help myself, I laid in bed laughing so hard that I nearly peed myself. Let's face it, with both of those idiots there's no telling what would happen next.

That would have been a classic video... It reminds me of when we had Zoe,our White German Shepherd and Snowball, my daughter's black cat. Zoe knew she wasn't allowed to chase Snowball and one day Snowball was laying on the A/C while Zoe was laying on the floor in front of the cool air when a bird hit the window. Snowball, I swear, did a flip off the A/C right in front of Zoe, who proceeded to jump because she isn't allowed to bother the cat..

I can see that happening! One night we had a "ride em cowboy" night. My Siamese, Charlie, was on the dining table when Mom spotted him up there and hollered at him to get down. He lost his footing and landed on our standard poodle, Woo. Woo felt the claws in his back and took off yelping. He raced through the house with Charlie clinging to his back with all claws sunk into his thick curly poodle coat. After three laps around the house and through the kitchen, Charlie lost his grip and fell off the "horse" and rolled through the living room. Needless to say we all were sore from all the laughing from the show. Too bad there weren't video cameras back then. It would have been a priceless show!

To be honest, I have no idea what you were talking on your discussion. Were you talking about two animals collided each other at your bedside, or two small persons playing around? Or something else? Who is Abby and who is Khuay. I just don't see the fun of it, and I can't share the joy of your laugh at the moment.

Abby is a pit/lab mix 70 pound dog and Khuay is a 12 pound flame point Siamese who is 4 years old and still a very jumpy cat. Abby doesn't scare too often, so last night with her jumping so suddenly and colliding with Khuay was a riot, especially when it happened three different times in under a minute.

Oh, the poor klutz's. It is a wonder they did not both have a heart attack or stroke. I can imagine them being total balls of fur and speed. If laughter could cure all of your illnesses, you would be in perfect health with your wonderful pets.

At least their antics makes me forget the problems for awhile. Khuay never fails to get me laughing during the day. Yesterday he fell off the sewing machine table and into a box. It was filled with stuffing for bears and the fluff went sailing into the air. It landed all over him and he sat there like nothing unusual had happened. I was crying I was laughing so hard. I often wondered how I lucked out and got the pair of idiots I adopted. Now I know that it was for pain relief. Who could remember pain when you are busily laughing at animal antics?

this is so funny. i actually have a male cat which was staying on the bed one day and he was looking into the mirror attached to the closet.he was staring to the mirror and in just one second he jumped into it. i guess he wanted to jump on the bed that he was seing in the mirror. he was so dizzy after.i was glad taht the mirror did'n break and he was not hurt. our pets can be so funny and stupid sometimes.

It sounds funny to me too. I believe the scene was like that of a comedy. They must have seen something because I feel like they were really scared. Did you miss what it was they were jumping away from? It would actually have helped Abby and Khuay to check the threat before unfolding the drama.

As I was reading your post I was thinking to myself that you simply HAD to have been laughing so hard you were in tears. LOL! That would have made for the best video to show on YouTube.

Loverbear, you have skittish pets. You would have to put a lift under my cat or Scottish terrier to get them to move unless they want to go outside. Now the cat has taught the dog to run like crazy through the house to be let out. Last night, my cat got left out all night. I had gotten a chill and snuggled under the covers for a few minutes to get warm. This was at 6 p.m. At 8:30 p.m. I woke up long enough to give bruce his meds and didn't even think about the cat. This morning a scratching on our door turned up a gray cat who couldn't get enough hugs after spending the entire night out in the wilds.

You seem so close with them. How many have you got them?
