Oh my God! I was totally in shock when I saw this in Yahoo Philippines. A 10 year old girl from Cambodia gives birth via C-section. She's just also a child and then she gives birth?! There's no more information added in that said news in Yahoo! Philippines since its a video and I couldn't seem to play it because my internet connection is acting up! Tsk! I really don't what would I feel. I can only thought that how could she live with the child when she herself is also still a child. Any thoughts from you, my dear myLotters are welcome!

i really cant imagine how a 10 year old kid could give birth whe at that age there is no menstrual period yet...is it possible for a girl to conceive even if she has no menstrual period yet?

Girls tend to get their periods between the ages of 10 to 15 years old with the average age being 12 or 12 and a half. There is documentation that over the last 100 years or so that girls are hitting puberty and starting menstruation at earlier ages - this being attributed to nutrition

Yeah I've seen it on TV News and it's horrible. I mean, how they did it? Is the the 10 year old child already had menstrual period? It never stated who's the father but of course it mustn't have to be a 10 year old boy, indeed. I can't hardly imagine how did it happen... Nice day ahead... Mobhomeir here 041112

True! It sounds horrible! When I read the headline, I automatically thought if the girl has already have her monthly period. Gosh! How could that be, right? She's too young! Well, about the father of the child. I don't know what to say! Tsk.

Well, I just realize it is no wonder because human being these days are evolving. I mean, each child born today is far more different than 20 years ago. Have you remember before or try to ask your parents, if it is true that the newly born babies before were just closing their eyes when they just delivered. Now, newly born are already opening their eyes looking everywhere as if they were born a month ago. See the difference? That also means, ages of human being these days are becoming shorter...that's why we must enjoy our life to the fullest...because life today is so short..we must not make it shorter...we must take care of our health because health is wealth.. Oh! I didn't notice that but seems so true! Also, kids these days are so smart. At 2 years old they can speak clearly unlike the babies 20 years ago, right? :)

my lady, She's not the youngest anyway, but yeah, too young to have a baby. At the age of 10, she's still a baby herself. She's not ready physically and emotionally. So many amazing, absurd things happening around us now.. :x

hi there, i have seen this too on the news but it wasn't revealed the reason as to how she got pregnant probably for privacy too. she is too young, i feel bad about it but also, the baby is also a blessing. everything happens for a reason anyway.

it can either be that she was not guided properly or someone mst have taken advantage of her, that's even worse

I am getting wondered how a small kid can do it I think her parents will mostly give that child to old age house. This is the thing mostly done when most have such things in them. Hope they will do the same

I worked with a woman who gave birth at 9. I had a client who was on her second pregnancy at the age of 12. There is a Romanian grandma who is 19. It happens. It's nothing new. What is new is that we hear about it. IN the old days you would send the child off to live with auntie or in a home for unwed mothers and they would return the next year without the baby.

There was a girl pregnant at 6. Her family chose abortion and were excommunicated from their church because of it. 6 is way yo young to expect her to carry the pregnancy to term.

Oh my! Its pretty hard for her for sure.I can't imagined how she handle pregnancy in her age and even giving birth a child. I just hope she can manage and make things well with her and her baby.

She has already gave birth to a healthy baby via c-section. It was documented! The doctors are hesitant to do the c-section because of her age and etc. But thank God it was successful. But still, I can't imagine how a kid becomes a mother! :|

Hello bunso! I've seen on the news on TV Patrol last night. I even asked my niece if I heard her age right 'cause I heard she's just 10yrs old,and it's true! I don't know if her parents are with her 'cause I think she was not guided. I don't think she can seriously take the responsibilities of being a mother. She needs the support of her parents even more now.

This is a sad story. This poor little angel with a C-section, and that surgery gives women problems later on in life as well. I had a dream that I was going to help stop rape victims and young girls that were kidnapped. I just do not know where to start, but this puts a pain in my heart. I hope there was a punishment for these actions upon her.

Aw! Maybe, you could be one of the people who will be able to stop rapes and other cases like this! This is too much for the little girl. She been through a lot of pain, and we can feel it. Can't we?

I never heard of a child so young giving birth before. I heard about a 12 year old giving birth in my country. It's not ok because she is way to young to be able to take care of another soul. Parents should be responsible and able to at least take care of themselves, to have a job, a place to stay. It will be very hard for her if she is alone, but at that age she probably still lives with her parents in which case she may have their support and help. It may be like raising a sibling for her, but not likely because I think being a mother changes things and feelings a lot. What can I say, I wish her the best.

It is very hard. Especially when it comes to financial capacities, right? Plus...the fact that she herself is still a baby! It will be very hard.

I think I heard a similar news, I'm not sure if we're referring to the same story, but I think it was from a different country - Mexico or Columbia. There was an angle in the story that there's a cult involved in that incident. It felt really horrible to imagine a very young girl having to go thru pregnancy and delivery.

hi edsss and I am wondering who was the father and how could a man do this to a little girl?I imagine she will either have to adopt if out or her mom will help her , a child, to raise her own grand child. It makes me wonder how this happened to such a young girl and why:[

From what i read about this a few days ago..its a tribal group and this is their way..where they start very young..promoting a young girls ritual into Womanhood..I feel 10 is way to young, but who am I to talk bad about another's life in their tribe.
