a man was taken outside of the Church for not wearing any upper clothing and it brought up a fuss on the internet. The guard explained that the certain topless man would go violent sometimes so he was brought outside. i think people should dress presentably or at least not reveal that much skin when they are in a holy place since we need to respect the House of God. I have seen many women who wore sleeveless and really revealing shorts a few years back, good thing no one wears them in Church anymore because of the notice of the priests...

I do agree with you. One thing is that different people have different ideas of what is fashionable or right for a certain occasion. And then there are others that don't care and have no qualms about what they wear. Especially younger people. Older folks have more respect for a house of their Lord.

I like maxi dresses as long as they fit okay. I don't think some people care. Fashion is more important to them than comfort.

Yes, older people really wear dresses even. I don't like wearing dresses anymore since they are uncomfortable to wear- can't move much, but I never wear skimpy clothing in Holy places.. i wonder how other people can wear clothes like that, don't thy feel exposed at all?

I agree that everyone should wear proper dresses at every places. If we can dress properly when going to a party or attending formal events, why can't we dress properly when in holy grounds. I wonder why some people seems to took for granted holy places.

I agree with you. Dress is one of those methods where we can show respect even without saying anything. By dress properly, we already show respect to the people in the same vicinity and to the purpose of that event. I don't think it is a hard effort to dress appropriately but it is hard to choose and wear the great choices in apparel. Likewise, I am wondering the same thing.

@jaiho2009 true, some people tend to overdress in any occasion though. @jeanneyvonne what we wear also gives a glimpse to other people what kind of personality we have. So people should dress in clothes that they are comfortable in, so others won't misunderstand.

When you are in the house of God, whether its a church, temple, mosque or monastry, you should dress appropriately. You should ot wear clothes that reveal or distract, or wear heavy make up as though you are going for a party. The reason for attending church is communion with God and he does not expect you to dress as though you are going for a wedding. In the church, temple or mosque, you are on a one-to-one communcation with God and nothing that distracts should come inbetween.

Yes, I definitely agree- some people before do that, I am quite glad that I don't see many people dressing inappropriately in church. The people really took notice of the signs outside the church. They were posting drawings of proper and improper attire.

I agree- people should wear decent clothes when going to church since it is a house of God and there is no need to look sexy there since it is a place of worship and not to look for boys or girls.
