I am interested in autobiography and history books. There is a saying - 'Wise man will learn things from others mistakes' We can't live a complete life if we decide to learn from our own mistakes only throughout our lifetime. When reading about others life , we will come to know where one went wrong and how could it be done instead. Since my school days, I have been showing interest in biographies and History. Anyway the challenging thing for students is to remember the exact date of historical events..lolzzz.... Still to score marks they have to byheart!!!

Hello :D. History is a nice thing to have as reference, but it is dependent to the interpretations and points of view of the historian. Even in autobiographies, the one making it could omit or change certain events in order to avoid being criticized or judged. Some historians have been found to lie to fill the blanks in whatever they are studying, and some are simply censored by a government or a powerful group. So you could very well be learning a lie when you are studying history, and the mistakes of others you learn could be fictitious, used to make people desist of trying something or the other. While it is true that one shouldn't live life without learning from others, learning everything from others without trying out of fear of making mistakes is wrong. But having something one likes is a good thing, so enjoy it to the fullest :D.

Oh, good point! History can be easily skewed by people, which is why it's so important to study it from different viewpoints - at least in that way, you can get a better idea of the full picture, even if it is still a little biased for each side. Even reading novels of the era can be a great clue into the human condition at the time. That said, there's a saying by Edmund Burke for this: "Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it." It's good to learn history, if only to avoid the mistakes of the past, and to grow as a civilization. It's good to learn, personally, from your own mistakes, but on a wide scale, the history of the world and the people who've lived on it is a great lesson in and of itself.

The saying is really true. We will learn things from others and that is what makes history so important that every school teaches history. When reading about what happened in the past, we can learn from the mistakes and then try to learn from it and correct or improve on them. As students, it is necessary to remember the exact date of historical events, but we should try to make it a happy process of remembering the dates rather than as a chore. I believe it is must easier if we think of it this way.

We learn from mistakes and history should teach us to not repeat many mistakes but alas too many ignore the lessons and re do the mistakes.

History is very much important. We can analyze any event with logic from the consequences it had.We can learn from it our faults as human beings and can correct them.

As many as people in the world, they also have their personality and hobby.Everyone maybe be different from others, he or she just focus on small gap area.Just consistent on your choise, enjoy your life. For autobiography and history, this is not very fashion favourite subject.I know history are complete by follower issue and release,so they ususual do and write it as they want and benefit them direction development.History is filled with lie and untrue. One of magazine said history often real at frame content such as time, place, character, others may be composed. But some novel except time, place, character, the story is real and happened. So you need to pay attention to different ways to research autobiography and history. Much people think history is boring and singsong without any social, but it must somebody to do it. You are a real source to this subject.

Yes, history is actually one of the important thing in all of the school subject. In my country they will make it the same as the language and math that they have to pass it in order to actually pass in a big exams. Like if they didn't pass one of the math, history, etc, they would not pass the test and has to retake it next year. But i didn't remember it was for this year or next year since i just finish my school. Back to the topic, as you said, a wise man learn from others mistake. It means a wise people will think about mistakes made by other to actually avoid their self making those mistake other than making the mistake by themselves.

I totally agree with you. It's important to know the world we live in, the political and economical surrounding, and they can't be examined without how they have happened, what have been the causes. It's good to know what kind of mistakes we could learn from.
