I am so disgusted by the people running for Presidential Office and the media for supporting this garbage. I don't give a sh%t if the guy had to pull over to hose off his dog. I don't give a sh%t if the guy ate some meat Americans find gross while living over seas. I don't care if they want to throw sh%t at each other like animals. I do care about the unemployment rate, gas prices, national debt, food sources and other things that actually affect the American people, this nation and how well we survive in a whole. Posting crap like this doesn't help one campaign over the other in my eyes it just makes them all look like total Jacka$$es. The tea party reps are signing papers and making promises to better our nation while our President and his party throw crap like this out there to no less be responded to by the Republican children as though on a playground. Disgusting and I don't mean anything to do with the dogs! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/17/dog-wars-obama-dog_n_1433223.html?ref=election-2012-blog&icid=maing-grid7%7Cmain5%7Cdl10%7Csec1_lnk3%26pLid%3D152900

I think the media is trying to make them more human. I haven't found a presidential candidate worth voting for since before the Bushes. They are dispicable. How do you find someone to vote for when both are idiots? I can't see voting for either. Ugh!

Vote for the one who still believes in capitalism and the Constitution, his policies may not match yours but at least he won't shred the Bill of Rights after he's done with the Constitution as I fear Obama will.

no, I don't agree. Yes, I do agree we are America and you can vote for anyone you like, (unless the New Black Panther party is outside the polling place) but a vote for a third party is just one less vote for the correct candidate, which I'll leave up to you celtic, but lets just say that ROMNEY is the one who upholds the Bill of Rights

Look outside of the popular parties and find someone to vote for who fits more closely to your values. We are America, anyone can run for president and they DO NOT have to be republicans or democrats.

It's rediculeous that this stuff is brought up at all. So what if the president ate dog, I have, as well as possum, ground hog, porcupine, carp, seagull, etc, etc, etc. So long as it's killed humanely & prepared properly it's all good meat ( though carp has to be smoked in order to remove the muddy flavor from it ). Now thinking that straping an open kennel on top of a car going 60-70 mph with your dog inside is stupid. At least in the south we know to let the dog lay in the back of the truckbed. The real quesion is which caqndidate will do what's best for the country. Personally I think that's like asking which snake do you want to bite you, the rattler, copperhead or cottonmouth. Either way your screwed.

Now why do you suggest the kennel was an OPEN kennel? Most are enclosed now a days. And how would he fit a wife and five kids in a truck? I don't disparage the president for eating dog, but I do think he ought to think a bit about what's in his book before he decides to dis someone for their treatment of their dog?

1. If you marinate the carp for an hour in whiskey it will kill some of that muddy flavor! That's what I do any way. I really could care less what he eats or ate as a child. As for putting a dog on top of the car that was dumb but not something I care about either. As for your comparison to the snakes that about sums it up real good.

Yes debra they're enclosed but they have large airholes. At interstate speeds that would be horrible. I doubt you would even have your car windows wide open on the interstate. Would you like to ride up there at those speeds? No pet should EVER be strapped to the roof of a car in a kennel. With as much as people have fall off their roof in situations like that would you want to risk your pet tumbling down the side of the road in a kennel at 70mph? He should have made other arrangements for the dog.

To be fair, it was the Democrats who started in on Romney first because of the story about his dog riding in his cage on top of the car during a family trip. And no one outed Obama over his eating of dog, he wrote about it in his book. That said, yeah it's a pretty stupid issue. Of course, the reason the Obama camp went after Romney's transportation method is because the animal rights activists were big supporters of Obama in 2008. This was to let warn them that Romney wasn't a considerate pet owner and they'd better stick with Obama. How they'll feel about Obama chowing down on a hound, I can't say. In his defense (can't believe I am defending him), Obama was a child who was given the meat by his step-father. In Romney's defense, if there wasn't room in the car, it was better to put the dog on the roof than one of the kids. As far as I am concerned, this is about as far from being a real campaign issue as anyone can get. But as long as Obama needs to play to his base, he won't touch real issues - his supporters don't really care about how to solve the problems, they like the things he's done to create them, and any attention to the real issues of the economy and the future of the nation will only make Obama and his policies less popular with anyone who does care about the issues.

It shows me that Obama is scaping to come up with something, anything to make Romney look bad. Your theory on wanting to garner the votes of the PETA people is probably where the idea came from.

Did the animal rights folks not pick up on what he wrote about eating dog in his book? Maybe he just shot himself in the foot once again by giving Romney an opening to point that out? lol

I beleive the idea came from the Animal rights people going off the deep end as usual. SO they ran with it of coarse. People eat all kinds of meat all over the world that Americans find gross because..well I don't know why. As a culture we seem to have lost all sense of reality when it comes to food, politics and most everything else.
