Junkfoods

They were unhealthy, they can give us cancer, diabetes, make people obese (I am skinny but I have high blood pressure) They clog our arteries, makes our lifespan shorter, Make our kidney covered in sodium for their saltiness,They also make us hot headed and give us guilt after eating them. Why the hell they have to so delicious! Why! Why do they have to be so orgazmic in our tongue. Why do they have to be so comforting to eat. Why? Why? Life is so unfair. After my operation due to my appendix, there are certain foods I am not allowed to eat. No Vegan or healthy alternative can replace the joy of eating them....

Maybe it's nature's way of trying to clear us off the planet. Nah, I have no idea why unhealthy tastes so good. Personally though, they are loads of junk foods that don't taste so good to me anymore now that I've been a health-nut vegetarian for so long. Like chili-cheese fries, they make me want to gag! I think it's all that good nutritious food clearing all the cravings for the junk out of my system. I still find potato chips tempting though.

I havent eaten them for a long time but I cant get it out of the system, so yeah if I have cravings, I will just go to the bathroom, wash my face so I can cry and no one will notice.

I'd tell you that junk food's not worth crying over, but what the heck. I think I'd cry if I couldn't have cheesecake again, not even on my birthday or Christmas.

Sorry about that. Really, there are certain foods that our tongue gets addicted to. It is just up to us on how to discipline ourselves so that we won't eat them excessively. I think a bit of some junk foods won't hurt once in a while. I am a believer of variety as the key to health. I do think you can eat some unhealthy foods every now and then. Just don't excessively eat them. The problem is how will you know if you are already eating them excessively especially when you are munching on them delicious food.

I do love vegetables but they were better when theyw ere stirfried, deep fried, poured in sauce, curried...... apparently the healthy option is to eat them raw or steamed with no seasonings like salt. they are supposed to be eaten the bland way,

Indeed, I hate them for being delicious, I hate them for being tasty, I hate them for being so good. what a freaking mental torture. screw it I will eat this bland salad again and bland steamed stuff again., salty, oily and sweet.... geez they were so tasty and we cant deny it. eating them is like an experience. for sure there are claims that there are health foods that are tasty but they werent.

Yes, I do hear you too! There are some restaurants and food products that claims that they are offering tasty and delicious meals which are healthy. However, I never find them delicious even so that they are healthy. That is why I am not vegetable lover. But now I do eat them because I know that I need to eat vegetables for my health. But after sometime of conditioning my sense of taste, I came to love some vegetables, but the others are notoriously unlikeable though.

I love junk food! I know they are unhealthy, which will give me problem following the large amount of consumption. However, as you said the temptation of its delicious taste and smell I just cannot resist. Obviously the manufacture will make them more and more mouth watering...... All I can count on is my will power. I try to eat them less and reward me like a treat. Life is too short, all I can do is balance - certain amount of consumption should be fine. LOL

They were so evil, Unhealthy food have no right to to be delicious, they have no right to be tasty and yummy. No healthy alternative can replace the joy and pleasure of eating them. By far I havent eaten them for a year but it is depressing to not eat them.

Unfortunately.. the good things in life are most often the things that can hurt you! I mean even in sports...if you love bunjy jumping great..but look at the possible dangers in it! Same with food. I have been living off Sweet and Low for 30 years...they say it causes cancer etc... I, at over 50 now, have a total perfect clean bill of health! No cancer, nothing. So what do you believe? I have to say that with everything in the possible light of being a health problem...remember few years ago, eggs were like the devil himself....now they are the healthiest thing ever....coffee...now the heart docs recommend a cup or two a day! Smell of new car...was a killer few years ago, now it is nothing. Chocolate....nothing but a fat maker...now it is good for your heart! I say you just have to do the best you can at keeping up on the current things and then MODERATION. That Big Mac is unhealthy...but having one once a week or every other week isn't going to hurt you in anyway. All things like this...have a donut every friday to end the week. Things like that. If you dont' have them, you crave them and tend to eat in abundance if you ever can. But have a little here and there and you won't tend todo that. My husband now has a thing about how unhealthy ground beef is. Yes, the 30% fat is bad, but the 10% fat is so dry it is all but unedible...he just made burgers last week out of it and even he admitted that it was the dryest tasting thing he's ever eaten and said he won't buy that kind anymore. i have been telling him this for years...you take out the fat and that takes out the flavor. I have tried them all and the 80%/20% is the best as you fry in a pan and drain off the fat/grease, then put the meat on to paper towels and it absorbs even more and it is then not unhealthy not so much fat...pretty decent in the health issue. Granted you eat it three times a day, every day and you might have problems, but you will with anything you eat like that. I ate celery with a little bit of peanut butter on it(plain it has no flavor at all!)...all day that was my snack. DIdn't know why I constantly had diareha....matter of deduction and that celelry goes right through you...a "natural" solution for constipation! But they say how healthy it is. It is only healthy cause it helps keep you regular! No nutients or vitamins at all in it...mostly water! Candy... I treat myself to something once a week...and lately...not even that. Seems I have gotten used to not wanting it or craving it...and dont' even think about it. Now, take away my pizza and we got a problem. But....make a small one...individual one with homemade ingriedients and how bad is that? I mean, fresh bread as I make the dough in the bread machine..sauce is tomatoe sauce with italian spices in it, cheese...made with real california milk and the only "unhealthy" thing is the meat toppings...sausage or pepperoni. A "littel dab'll do ya" as the Brill Cream used to say...make a small pizza with 1/4 of any meat and be done with it. I make 5 minis pizzas in the bread machine, and freeze them and have a treat once a week! Kills my pizza cravings and I get to enjoy it too! I have tasted some of the "healthy" items and they are so unflavorful and gross tasting that I just dont' eat them or do without. Now that is I guess how they are so healthy...they are so horrible you don't want them and knowing that flavorless thing is what you get if you crave it....odds are you won't be craving it very often!

Flax seeds, so healthy, so good for my body and they taste so horrible its damn impossible to swallow. It makes felt like I was eating soap. Flax seed bread and flax seed cookies. My doctor wants to me to eat lots of flax seeds and they tasted like soap and paper. How tasty is that. I ejoy fruits and vegetables but I hated those health store foods. Brown Rice, healthier than White Rice,You know how much Asians depends on rice to continue their existence, Brown rice is damn firm and rant, it doesn't have the comforting soft texture of white rice and its good for me. I consider the 'occasional thing" when it comes to junkfoods but you know I am kinda human and I have fears I will crave them over and over again if I ate them. but working in an office with KFc eating people and the smell of that ghetto fried chicken mixing with the air conditioned room, is like driving me nuts. I remember someone told me Turkey Bacon is healthy and delicious, Its nothing like the pork Bacon. then there is the so called vegan bacon. Oh my God, That thing tasted nothing like bacon, and they promised its better than the real thing. I know what you mean about beef, there is a beef soup popular in my country, which is just beef simmered in potatoes, cabbage, plantain and string beans, its not as tasty if if there is no a bit of fat. Cheese is damn delicious and all those so called mock cheese are not delicious, its just a salty mush that is not cheese. Oh Pizza, eating Pizza is like making love with a beautiful princess on her castle, I think Pizza can be healthy depends on the toppings but we cant deny the most delicious pizza toppings are cheese and those unhealthy processed meats. fresh meat cant compare with the goodness of pepperoni and bacon.

moderation doesnt work with me cos that will just make me crave, so yeah I just endure the pain of not being allowed to enjoy them. I will just go inside my room, be alone, curl up in a corner in a fetal position and cry.

Well, everything's got his price. Junk food, may be delicious, but it's very unhealthy or you can gain a lot of fats by it. Healthy food - not that delicious, but a lot more healthy than junk food. However you can't say that all of the healthy foods are tasteless. For example the beef is delicious and it's very healthy. Life's got his balance in things. Everything's got his good sides and his bad sides. Without this balance, we would live in a whole different world if you ask me.

I can say I do try to keep things balance, I do want to live a long life but for sure that long life will be miserable I am still allowed to eat meat but not processed meat. we know processed meat is very harmful.

It will take time, but you will eventually be able to eat these foods again. Till then, actually healthy foods, have gotten a lot tastier. I went through this problem a couple years back when I all of a sudden became latose intolerant, after years of practically drinking 3 glasses of milk a day, and 80 percent of my meals consisted mostly of cheese. Adjusting to the no pizza, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, cheeseburgers...etc. Was incredibly hard, but actually overall the best thing for my health. Go to a health store near you and look for cheese alternatives like soy, rice,..coconut milk icecream or soy icecream is a lot better for you, 1/2 the calories, and you won't feel guilty. Plus in the last year the amount of allergies to foods has had a major push to making these foods taste better naturally, rather than processed. And always, moderation is key for anything!

I tried those alternatives and they were good but they were not as great as the real thing. yesterday, everyone in the office were eating junkfoods, while I eat salad and some bland chicken and fish with no crispy breading. I think I am kinda allowed to eat them in moderation but after the operation, I had been depriving my self from eating them,

I don't know, I guess it's some kind of a treat, or feels like one. Especially as I was born in the biggest heyday of them, when everyone ate there and how unhealthy they were wasn't like a trend topic. Like every parent took their kids the McDonald's for a treat when they were good at school. For me, this kind of feeling has attached to fast food, and I like the athmosphere of these fast food restaurants, most of them (everything from Chinese fast food to hot dogs)... but I don't eat as much now because they're really expensive and I want to lose some weight, too. Sometimes I really miss a good chicken nugget box :).

I had seen how disgusting the factory of chicken nugget is and the fact that chicken heads is part of the ingridients but it didnt stop me from loving them... its delicious. I am eating healthy but its kinda depressing eating healthy foods while everyone that surrounds you eats junky goodness.
