I like visiting South America and have done so twice. I have flown there using Spanish Airlines like Iberia and Air Europa. They fly from Spain to Spanish speaking places in Latin America.
When I was twenty to twenty one years old I flew around the world with Qantas and Virgin Atlantic. I was twenty eight years old when I flew to New Zealand and some of the Pacific Islands with Air Zealand. In those days Air New Zealand had some lovely stopovers in the South Pacific Ocean.
If I ever do another trip around the world I would have a more adventurous route I am sure. I would want to visit places hard to get on an around the world ticket like Madagascar. I visited Samoa in 2002 and how I wish I had chosen Tonga as well on that ticket.
Which flights have you enjoyed?
Which routes are common from your home country by air?

I now try to choose the least expensive airlines to fly, so I usually travel with Copa or Avianca. When I was young, I went to several places with my husband, but the important things started after we left the plane. I have flown to Mami, Florida, and the gone by car to Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, california, Kansas and traveled through the south of the US. In Europe we stayed with my brother, then in Lausanne, Switzerland, and he lent us his car and camping gear to travel through all Europe.

Hello my dear friend. I have been on Copa because they were a code share from Cartagena De Indias to Bogota. I loved going on Avianca from Madrid to Bogota because we had missed our Iberia connection. It is lovely that you have found the least expensive airlines and been on them. The camping in Europe must have been wonderful. Hug.

So far I have only flown from one European country to another and I enjoyed the flights to Hungary, Italy, Poland and Estonia. From Denmark it is possible to fly to the other European countries as well as places outside Europe.
When I started planning my trip to Asia I looked at the flights from Denmark to Bangkok. There is a direct flight from Copenhagen to Bangkok, but it is much more expensive than the flights from Berlin, so I have decided to catch a train to Berlin and fly from Berlin to Bangkok. When I return from Asia I am going to fly from Vietnam to Paris, and I plan on spending a couple of days in Paris before I return to Denmark. The flight from Germany to Thailand and from Vietnam to France will be a new experience for me as I have also flown a relatively short distanse (within Europe) When I go to Asia I am going to experience a long flight for the first time

Well done for comparing flight costs from other European cities and not just Copenhagen. You live on mainland Europe so and it is very easy to take a train to Berlin. It is excellent that you will spend a few nights in Paris after your flight back home to Europe. You will be flying though many time zones during your trip. I find cheaper flights leave London than other European cities. Good luck with your trip to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.

I haven't been able to fly for more than 4 hours and I have never used any of the mainstream airlines except for our national carrier which is Philippine Airlines, Cathay Pacific and China Airlines. With almost all of my travels I use budget airlines such as Cebu Pacific and Air Asia. Though Cebu Pacific is a budget airline, I enjoy riding with them because of their innovation. Sometimes they have dancing stewardess to demonstrate the safety rules and they offer some games where many can participate. Thus making the flight time seems shorter because you have something to do on board. I like Air Asia because of their hot meals. hehehe... From where I live, the most common routes are those near our country such as Hongkong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Cambodia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and China. There are also straight flights going to the middle east like Saudi, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain. There is only one flight direct to Europe which is serviced by KLM from Manila to Amsterdam. Also, there is a direct flight to Australia via Sydney and Melbourne, direct flights to the US via Los Angeles and San Francisco and a direct flight to Canada via Vancouver courtesy of our national carrier, Philippine Airlines.

I really like the sound of Cebu Pacific Airlines because they seem to have some enjoyable ideas. In Asia they offer some fantastic routes. If I got a flight into Bangkok and then had another flight out of Bali I could ride on a cheap airline like that and see the Philippines. One of my friends rode from Brisbane to London on Philippines Airlines via Manila and Bangkok. Thanks for your excellent response.
