Hi there! I am suffering from skin problems, acne in particular, for such a long time. I have endured so many harsh words regarding my appearance and is now loosing all my self confidence. I have tried many over the counter product but nothing worked for me. Now I am turning in nature's medicine, fruits! What advice can you give me?

Nourishing your skin starts from within by providing your body with essential dietary nutrients on a consistent basis. Taking care of your skin is important for more than your visual appearance; it protects your organs from bacteria, injury and viruses. The fruis that good to our skin are, banana, mango and citrus.

Did you ever try into taking up contraceptive pills like Diane or Athena? Try to search it over in the internet... I also had the same predicament as yours. It was just last year when my pimples seem to start appearing. I thought it was only mild but then they seem to increase day by day. I panicked about it so that nearly every week I tried everything from soaps to pimple-removers just to make them disappear but they seem to get worse. I even had a facial, the one that uses extracting methods and singling out those pimples one by one. Since then I'v promised I would not ever go to facial again because aside from it hurt, it also just seem to make a scar or hole out of the pimples. I had an advice from a friend that I should not use just any products cause it would dry my skin and thus would cause the pores to produce more oil which causes pimple breakouts. She recommended those pills to which i took for three months. The results were visible, i think it was nearly two weeks when I noticed that my face became less oily, pimples appear only during my period but they are less and redness started drying out. Now my only problem was those little brown spots which were scars from those pimples that I had before.

Hi LaurenPogisky... I have a friend who also suffered from acne. From what I know, she went to a dermatologist and found out that her problem is due to hormonal imbalance. Maybe you should also try to visit a dermatologist to consult about your present situation. I heard that seaweed is good for our hair and skin. It has anti-bacterial property which is good to treat acne. It can purify and soften our skin.

Honestly speaking, all fruits are good for skin, in fact our skin is simply reflection of our health..if you keep your body healthy from inside your skin will automatically glow, I suggest you to maintain a healthy routine, do daily exercises, drink plenty of water, eat fruits, grains and vegetables, avoid junk food. here is a home remedy for acne- mix together 2 teaspoons of oatmeal, 1 teaspoon of baking soda and enough water to form a paste, smooth the paste all over your face and gently rub it in, rinse thoroughly afterwards.. :) Good luck!!

All fruits are good for your skin, especially the fruits that contain more vitamin C such as oranges, sweet limes. Also, drinking a glass of warm water with half a lemon squeezed in it the first thing in morning will cleanse your colon and help clear acne. Reduce the intake of oily, junk foods, meat etc. and increase leafy veggies in your diet. Increase salads in your lunch and dinner and substitute white bread with whole grains bread etc. This will help you get rid of acne!

Fruits and veggies of any kind can help you to clear up your skin. Some even help if you put it right on your skin, rather than eating it. Just to a search of fruits to help you with acne, and you should come up with some things. You should definately try and stay away for a while anway from really greasy foods such as fried chicken, pizza, hamburgers...etc. Also try to wash your face every night before bed and in the morning. I have heard that if you wash your face in the morning with warm water, it opens the pores. Then you scrub...get the gunk out...and at the end wash with cold water to close the pores back up again to prevent more dirt from getting in.

Any fruits and veggies abundant with Vitamin C is actually good for the skin. The red ones are also abundant with anti oxidants. For example, Tomatoes, red pepper, pink grapefruit, papaya and water melon. cranberries, red bell peppers onions and strawberries. It's important to research on it too and to know which ones are accessible in your country. I hope it helps.
