This thing is kinda controversial in United states right now, Basically there was this stage mother who makes her 6 year old daughter to join child beauty pageants. It seemed like the child is tired from practicing before the pageant, so the girl's mother tries to make her drink "Go Go Juice" which is Red Bull mixed with Mountain due. To keep her hyper and energized.
OK, this is so wrong, My parent didnt let me drink coffee and caffeine based energy drink when I was below 13. I actually started drinking caffeine drinks when I was like 20.
watch this video and see how caffeine effects a little child:

Look how go go Juice effects adults:

I think a 6 year old girl should not be drinking Red Bull and Mountain dew.
parents in Mylot, On what age you will let your kid drink Caffeine?
Do you think you would drink Red Bull mixed with Mountain dew?
what will this mom do next? add Gatorade?

Im not a parent but, i think thats redicilous to give a child something like that. I have sisters and a step brother who are all pretty young and they have tons of energy. If that little girl is being worked so hard shes tired then, the parents for one should not be pushing her like that and for second should give her a break.

well her mom is a stage mother and we know stage mothers are monsters. How old are you when your parents let you drink coffee? I heard caffeine have bad effects to kids. Can you imagine how red bull will taste like if its mixed with mountain dew?

I tried coffee when I was 10 because, I kept bugging to see what it tasted like because, my dad drank a lot of coffee and he drank it black. so he let me try it one day and I hated it so I still dont drink coffee to this day. red bull and mt dew would be awfully strong for anyone and way worse for a child.

I am not too fond of the entire child beauty pageant thing all together, but the lengths some parents go to push their children is rather kind of barbaric. To some parents though, their children are their ticket to glory, whether it be through this medium or another medium towards sports, not caring what the children wants but rather trying to use them as their tool to make up for their lost children.
I didn't drink any soda until I was around eight or ten and even than it was rather sparingly until my teenage years. Something like this however, should not be given to children, especially for the express purpose of what it is given to them for. Those kids who are given that are going to be really messed up when they are older. I don't even have children but I'm utterly appalled by this.

i think this is pure child abuse. i mean not only is she giving her something thats making her heart race but the child is obviously well on her way to being way over weight. likely be even fatter then her mom.
she cant even talk plain its like shes drunk. this woman dont care anything about her little girl!

long time no response captain! hahaha I've watched the link. and i gotta say.. that's mighty irresponsible parenthood...
I even found the parent's reaction to the reporters question kind of ridiculous..
I mean the kid is insanely hyper and that doesn't look like how a normal kid at her age would act...
Just imagine if she enters her teens acting that hyper. She sounds too liberated already for me

"liberated" is not a bad word.....she is more like crazy or nuts, that is more appropriate.
The so called Go go juice is going to hurt her heart in the future, the doctor said too much consumption of energy drink can cause heart disease for children.

Yeah. This is very wrong. Redbull mixed with Mountain due? A lot of sugar and caffeine.

For me, the real issue here is not about the concoction her mom gave her. At 6 years old, she should be playing with dolls and stuffs and not experience the stressful life of pageants. They are still developing and these moms are only using their kids for money and fame. Ask these kids when they grow to be 20, if they had any conscious decisions during that time, joining at will, exploited to prance like a puppet on strings. It makes me think that a lot of people can be selfish. Just imagine what some of those moms do when their kid is not chosen..and they go home with their tails stuck between their legs. What happens behind those closed doors after frustration? we never know. Is this how the future of America should be? Sad.

I think her mom being a stage mother is a huge issue for sure but what she drinks is dangerous as well, so yeah she is going to be messed up in the head if this is not stopped.

So sad that someone would do this to a child. My grandmother would let me drink coffee at eight years old, but her tea was even worse to make me stay awake all night. Mom would let me drink half coffee and milk on very cold days when I walked home from school in bad weather.

I think this mother is greedy and desperate, stage mothers are usually people who wants to be star on their younger years but they never had that dream so they will force it to their child.

I think the mom already brainwashed her daughter that this is what she want. Kind of sad but true. the girl is obsessed with winning she thinks drinking gogo juice is what she needs to win.
