The Longest Song!

I drove my husband to work yesterday and on the way home I thought I wanted to listen to music so I was flipping through the stations but there was so much taling going on until I finally found a song not one that I really care for but it was better than listening to all that talking going on! So It was that 'Hey Jude" by the beatles and I kept thinking oka the song is over but it just kept going and going and I was getting so annoyed! I had to turn it off he he he L.O.L. I think that has to be one of the longest songs ever! What do you think?

Actually Hey Jude by the Beatles is only 7 minutes. That is long for songs today, but not the longest. It seems longer because of the slow meter(its a slow song) and the repeating of the chorus(you hear hey judge and na, na na na over and over again which makes it seem longer.) Actually the longest song to get published is in the United States is something called 'Mind Control' at 79 minutes in length.

I have never heard of that song 'Mind Control" But that is very long!I know I thought they would never stop singing that! he he he L.O.L.

I don´t know this "Mind Control", and I would like to hear it, maybe rewardsinlife, could you tell more details of the song, like the interpreter. Hey Jude, is a song I like, maybe it was the first time you heard it, I think it has its move. There are longer songs I like, like Close to the Edge of Yes, of almost 20 minutes, full lenght In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, of Iron Butterfly, Thick as a Brick of Jethro Tull, of over 42 minutes, wich, by the way, I thought it was the longest song, :), that´s why I want to hear this Mind Control.

April 2010, a trio (Kiol Xeno- bass player, Rob Prescott- Drums, and Cory Estouville- guitar/keyboard) recorded a 79 minute instrumental titled 'Mind Control Experiment'. It is divided on a c-d into two 30 min. tracks, and then a third track that is 20 minutes.

To me, music like "so middle" in the sense that I appreciate, but I am not very passionate, I do not have one of my favorite musical group. I know "Hey Jude" by the Beatles, I heard more than once, but frankly speaking, I do not remember its lenght. However, in the final line, I do not really like the songs too long.
My favorite songs, the average length of 4 or 5 minutes, but will "say something". With this not deprive the legendary Beatles!

It was such a long song and I was getting so annoyed because of all the screaming they were doing repeatedly, It is not on my favorite lists for sure! It was just on when noting else was.
