Well, it`s done: Chelsea v Bayern Munchen in UCL final. Beyond everyone`s prediction. all media seemed to predict clasico was sure to happen in UCL final. It is ironic for Barcelona. They couldn`t take advantage of 10-men chelsea and Messi`s missed pinalty made it even worse. I watched that match, but didn`t watch Madrid`s match. Madrid tried every best, hwever CR7, Kaka, Ramos missed penalty. Media exposure was sometimes too much and it burdened players, even top-classed players like CR7, Messi and Kaka failed to score from penalty spot. We have seen some world class players missed penalty in crucial events like this. What do you think of these giants (Barca and Madrid) failure to reach UCL final?did you predict that they would face each other in the final before they were finally ousted?share your opinion, please..

I had wanted to watch another El Clasico match especially on in the Champions League final where there is going to be a thousand times more hype than usual. But sadly, the two top teams of the La Liga league have crashed out of the tournament, leaving two of possibly the unlikeliest teams in the final - Bayern Munich and Chelsea. Credit has to be given to these two teams which have shown much spirit and determination in reaching Champions League Glory. What's sad about the Bayern - Madrid penalty shootout was that three of Real Madrid's greatest players actually missed their penalties.

Yes, the whole world was looking for the El-Classico. Instead now we will have a classic duel between two teams that are defensively sound and desperate for winning the Champions League. Bayern would want to win at home. On the other hand this is one title Chelsea has been dreaming for well over a decade now. Cheers! Ram

I think that this expression " everyone's prediction" is exaggerated. I know that the fans of Bayern, which I am also, did not expect Real to qualify. And many other people who follow football did not wanted a Real-Barca final. I think that because of the international press, where work many people who never played a single football game in their lives, is not objective enough and they are capable of brainwashing the heads of the people who have never played football. Of course, Barcelona and Real Madrid are full of technical quality, but that is not enough in every game. Sometimes the commitment and the mental strength and the will to reach a goal is as important as the technical skills. And Bayern and Chelsea demonstrated that they have many other qualities, besides having good footballing skills.

I certainly didn't predict that chelsea would be able to make it to the final. I was quite happy to see that though. Bayern on the other hand proved to be one of the best clubs in champions league, and I always believed they had good chances against real madrid, even though they were kinda of an outsider generally speaking. All I have to say is that players like didier drogba definetely deserve to play in the ucl final. I think I will be supporting chelsea, even though I am not a fan, they gained my respect. Plus they won against napoli, which was the club I was supporting in this year's ucl.

No, I did not predict the Spanish teams would go into the final. In fact, I predicted that they would not. It is true that 2 giants did not get to play in the final, but there are still 2 giants in the final now. Even in normal circumstances, there is no guarantee that a penalty is a sure goal, what more under such stressful conditions. I feel sorry for any players who missed their penalty kicks. It is not really that easy to convert especially when the opposing goalkeeper is one of the world's best. Roberto Baggio was another great player who missed his penalty in the World Cup final. The two legs of the Chelsea vs Barcelona semi-final matches were the best matches I ever watched in terms of cliff-hanging and dramas. I am a Manchester United fan but I cheered for the Chelsea players - something I never did before. And now I want Chelsea to win the final for Di Matteo. I hope Di Matteo stays as the Chelsea manager next season.
