Were the American Idol judges harsh on Elise Testone?

Well I thought they were just giving her advice....like they have said over and over to pick songs that everyone knew...and she has a mind of her own and it cost her....I am actually a bit bored with American Idol this year.

I don't think they have been tough enough on anyone this season. I actually miss Simon Cowell's honesty...it is becoming way too lovey dovey, and they don't want to hurt anyone. They do have to make some comments though if they want that person out next, obviously, it is not a totally 'blind' thing when it comes to who is going out. All the judges make strategic comments based on who they want to save. If they want them there next week, they only say good things. If they don't, they say it wasn't great, and lo and behold, there they are in the bottom getting kicked out.
