I have one measuring 4cm plus and one cyst at 2cm plus, it gives me painful period every time. This month, I nearly want to vomit although I ate birth control pills before, I really can't stand this pain no more, but doctor said it has risk to do operation because if the blood cannot stop then she has to take out my ovaries and I cannot be a normal woman anymore. Do you all know how to lessen the pain since I eat everything mostly and I don't exercise much.

Hi. I have a cyst that is like 9 cm right now on my right ovary. I used to have such pain that I felt like I would pass out, at times. Not in recent years but have had some other symtoms. I'm old enough to be menopausal now so the thought of getting my ovaries out is an option I'd be willing to do. One problem, I have no insurance and to think of them refusing me charity care if I have to have it worries me tremendously so I dunno what will happen this week when i go for my appt on May 9th. I have some other health problems as well, the thyroid and an audio immune thing. I'm worried about going under the anesthesia as well now. I wish I could help with the pain. My friend in NYC said she went to a herbalist and he gave her some herbs to take and they shrunk the fibroids (not Cyst like I have). Do you have one of those in your area?

After I read you post about your dad, I checked online about fibroids. I could see that although it is not a happy situation, there are many things to do about it (check online) and the size of your cysts are not very big either. You have problems once a month and try to do the most you can the rest of the month. A fibroid is a benign tumor, let´s be happy about it. Maybe you should work more towards a goal and go to another doctor for a second opinion. I have cancer (somewhat worse than what you have) and even though my oncologist is very good, I went to another doctor for a second opinion and to be able to ask him all the things I needed to know. Maybe you can stay in bed for a couple of days when you have your peiod (you can work online then). But you can walk and exercise the rest of the month. Be happy: life is beautiful. Don´r waste it.

Sorry to hear that you have cancer, I also don't want some bad health issues, hopefully this year I will go to operate the tumor and my problems settled.

I heard that it can be surgically operated and removed. When your health conditions are ok, go for it and it is not so costly and I you said, it is so painful, I think. Drink more water and it will reduces to the impact slightly.

Generally fibroids are harmless unless they produce symptoms.Maybe you can take oral pain relievers like Ibuprofen or paracetamol during your periods.I have also found alternative treatments for fibroids on this link http://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-the-different-alternative-treatments-for-fibroids.htm

Well I would say that you need to start changing your diet and exercise to help reduce the pain. I also have cysts and real bad periods which are only better when I eat better. Try the next time to stick to a strict diet the week before of no extra salt or sweets and see if it helps. Lots of water too will help flush out your body.

Yes I drink coca cola and its not recommended as the doctor said, and spicy food too, but I still because I can't resist, anyway I drink a lot of water after that. I would like to stick to a plain diet this month to see how it goes.
