lol, I'm older than you think, and Patrick is on the downside of 35...heading for middle age. But I'll pass on your comment to him, he will get a chuckle over being called 'the younger generation'. I will take some credit, my children were not put in public schools, they were homeschooled. He was not properly brainwashed and indoctrinated.

To me that is the younger generation! LOL Same age as my children. Mine just a tad bit younger. Homeschooled! That explains a lot! Good for you!

Very good explanation, kudos to Patrick! I've heard this in various ways before and each time I wonder how in the world any intelligent country could put up with it. That's why so much of our wealthy citizens have money working overseas instead of for here. France has many wealthy citizens moving to England now, especially since the new president, Holland, has proposed taxing the wealthy at 75%. And--I got a notification that you started this discussion!! Maybe myLot it fixed.

I sure hope so, I was missing you on my discussions. Pat is my second son, he's self made and very handsome. lol I couldn't be more proud of him, I'd explode. We don't talk often, but when we do it is for hours and usually about politics. Can you imagine? lol

It's weird, isn't it? We think of our children as sweet young toddlers, laughing and hugging us, playing with us or crying over a skinned knee. When they grow into intelligent, articulate adults that we can discuss things with it's awesome, in every sense of the word! I truly enjoy and marvel at my two boys, who are both more conservative than I am and very cognizant of the political arena. Where are my little angels? They've been replaced with fascinating, handsome young men!

The story is different when you see the big picture, few of us appreciate how much of the tax burden is carried by the wealthy.

You are correct. And now the pres is teaching the country to envy them and even hate them. I just can't wrap my head around class warfare in America, urged on by our president. It is as if we've been time warped into 1915 Russia.
