I wish I knew how that got THERE...

Car on barrier - None of the wheels are on the ground

So, between "Real Life" and "Run Time Errors" I've had a hard time getting on here to post about "stuff"... Like the car I saw on TOP of a metal barrier... I snapped a pix on my phone, but it doesn't do it justice... I had to snip and blow it up to get this much, but actually all 4 wheels are off the ground - I'm sure the undercarriage is ruined... What I wonder is HOW it got there! I'm guessing that the driver tried to take the turn around too fast, lost control and drove up on it, but that's only a guess... This was before we got any rain, so you can't blame it on wet streets... What do you think? Is the driver just an idiot?

Yeah I wonder too how it got there. It is really crazy what and how somethings happen. I'm often shocked and amazed when I see these types of things happen on the tv shows that are showing crazy drivers and such. We may be safe drivers but we always have to keep an eye on other people. We never know what might happen.

Isn't that true! I remember the day I was headed to work and a lady was driving the wrong way up the access road!

That is crazy. I wonder what she was thinking when she did that. Pretty crazy the stuff that can happen while people are driving. Just glad that no one was hurt.

I would not doubt it was a stupid driver! They are all over the place! I was almost in two accidents in two different roundabouts over the past three days! The first time was on my way to work,on friday, when a jack@ss in a truck with a trailer cut in front of my without signaling! I came pretty close to being in an accident! Yestrday heading home from the stable, going through a different roundabout, another jack@ss almost got me into an accident! They ran the yield sign when I was going around the roundabout!Roundabouts keep pooping up all over the place the last few years and I think they are dumb! More then once I have been almost hit at a 4 way stop sign intersection near I live because people run the damn stop signs! It happens when I am going through the intersection! I am a good driver but the bad and stupid drivers are all around! Texting, talking on their cell phones and speeding are big reasons there are alot of accidents! Some of these people should not be allowed to drive! Enough said!

Roundabouts get brought in and used where regular stop and give way signs at junctions are being ignored and collisions are happening too regularly..Where I live,I've noticed 2 of the things being built in recent years on the road junctions towards town,(The Most recent one is ready to go at the gates of the New Hospital just built and due to open in the next month or so!) and another of them in the middle of town being removed and replaced by a 4 way stop with traffic lights...and instead of making them stop and give way to somebody already on the roundabout, the idiots are speeding up and cutting off the other driver on there,(if they don't actually crash instead..)

around Austin a corner gets a light when it gets enough fatalities.... oh, they say it isn't so, but - trust me - it is!

I think those round abouts are crazy, and happily, so does Texas. I've seen them up in NJ and in other places and they are just nutz!

I was wondering about hydroplaning until you said the streets were not wet. I think bad driving judgement is the culprit here.

The day I saw that it hadn't rained in over a week - couple of days later it came down in buckets!

Probably... maybe... I don't know. Maybe the Mother Ship's tractor beam was a little off-target when they put it down. Hey! Maybe the Mother Ship's computer had a run time error!

Is that the center divider? He had to not be paying attention, maybe texting or fiddling with the radio or even combing his hair in the mirror (could be a woman, too, I know). I tend to go to the left if I'm trying to do something with my right hand and that's what this looks like - he went to the left of the road, but that's only based on what I see in the photo. He could have come from the other side, too. So, probably not so much an idiot as someone who definitely wasn't thinking and paying attention. He's dammed lucky he didn't hit that bridge abutment!!

actually, there's a turn around under a highway that he's on, if he had drifted left he'd've been up on the concrete that goes up to the overpass, or he'd've been in the totally wrong lane - and it was a "he" because I saw him talking to the police
