The past few years my hubby and I just haven't celebrated every single holiday. We celebrate Christmas Thanksgiving but the rest really is just another day. My husband was upset that he did not get me anything for Mothers Day. I told him I was not concerned about. It was just another day. I feel that I want my children to show respect everyday, not just to me but for their dad, relationships etc. We shouldn't have a day set aside just to show one appreciation it should be an everyday thing. I don't care that the greeting cards etc want to make money on it as that is the American Way but I don't feel presents show someone how much you care. But to all the mothers who celebrate, I hope you have a great stress-less day =)

That is an interesting view on Mother's Day. My mom talks about the day months in advance to remind everyone that she needs separate presents on her birthday and on mother's day as well(her b-day is just about a week apart from m-day). It is nice to do some things...or not do chores... but I can see your point of view.
