What do people mean when they say they started singing before they could talk. You know that interview with the established/successful singer, and the radio host asks, so Christina when did you know that you want to sing? Uhm.....well my mum tells me that I could sing even before I could speak, she says I used to hum hum while learning to walk. That's when I go ooooo'''''kkkkkkkkkaaaay? Please tell me if you know what they mean.

Hi Nikhabele, Well, my little 14 mth old grandson sings and he only says a few words. He just sings, la, la, la, la.... It's a singing voice and he is following a tune (kind of) and his hands go like a music director. It's really cute. I am guessing that's what they mean???

So your 14mnths Old grandson can't speak yet? But he sings? I'm yet to see something like that? Or maybe I'm not from a singing family? I guess.

It means that it was innate in them since they were born. It is second nature, not hard to do. You will also hear marathon runners make the claim that they were running before they could walk. Just an expression to say that this is what they were born to do in life.

It was better if it was just an expression, yes I know theres hose people whom you can hear they are just making an expression, but this one in particular, says he literally used to hum( he says his mother says so).

Singing without words follows the melody is easier than talking. If you care a small kid, you will see it clearly...
