i heard on the news last night mention that this may be her last year here on american idol. i then had a fellow mylotter tell me the same thing. i havent heard much about it so i was woundering what everyone has heard about it. do you know why she may be leaving? is it for more money? have they said if this is a might be leaving or is she definately leaveing? i think that sometimes she voices her opinion a little to much but i think she is also a great judge that has a lot of tips to give the contestants. i have at times thought it would be nice to see new judges each year but at the same time with this going on i am not to sure what i think about it any more. what do you guys think about this?

obviously Elmiko doesnt watch american idol but that comment was unnessesary! obviously people care and that is why they are commenting on it and here there are a lot of people that await my discussion on the shows each week so they look forward to american idol and if you dont like it fine but you dont have to comment on something just because you want to be mean about it! *im just saying

thank you bigfoot951 that means a lot to me :) i look forward to my idol discussions along with many other mylotters. you included and i am glad to have so many followers here :) you have been a loyal american idol commenter on my discussions and on other discussions i start and i just hate when people think it is ok to come to a discussion where people are enjoying themselves and talking about things and just put negative things there. it is ok to have your own opinion about things but to say it like that with nothing else to say is just disrespect and i try to be nice really i do hahaha but some people just irritate me so much. thanx again for that :) it made me feel better :)

i got use to Jennifer as judge and now she wants to leave. it is hard that so many changes have taken place such as the judges save. i don't go for that at all. it isn't fair to the other contestants in my view. Jennifer should stay. i don't know if i am going for the xfactor this year. they have alot of changes already and it just started. i shall see when the show revamps in the fall.

i have never seen the x-factor but i have heard it is good and i think i will be looking for it soon because i am a little curious but if i like it i am sure i will be watching both :) the "save" it is a little unfair specially since this season the person that was saved is in the top 2. if she wasnt saved someone else would be in that spot. at the same time i can see why they have the save because sometimes america doesnt have it right and they send a very talented person home for all the wrong reasons. yes it seems that once we get use to 1 they decide to leave but i heard she did this last year after american idol and when they said they would pay her more money she came back for this year. also i heard it was to revive her acting/singing career. and i also heard it was for the twins and she would do what was best for them. there are a lot of diffrent reasons for what is going on and we may never know for sure what the reasoning is but i hope she decides to stay another year but if not i will be interested in seeing who they choose to take her place.

i like jennifer as a judge on american idol i feel she does an excellent job and i hope it is just a rumor as i would miss seeing her on there and giving her opinion as i feel she was a fair judge and great at her job as well.. but it makes you wonder too if she does leave who they will get to replace her .. hmm i cant imagine who it would be and would be excited to here who it is.. i hope jennifer stays but too if she leaves i hope they get a good replacement.. or as good as she was.. :)

well it is not a rumor that she may be leaving but it is still up in the air on what she has decided. a post above ^^ said that she was asked when she would give and answer and she said when she is told they need an answer. i guess we will see. i may not agree with everything she has said as a judge but she is still a good judge in my opinion and it will be weird for her not to be there but i am in the same boat as you as much as i would like to see her there i would also like to see who else they would choose to be the judge. i also hope that they pick someone good and not someone that is going to be hard for the others to get a long with and not one that will not have good tips and comments for each contestant.

I don't really watch American Idol just for her- but i do love her performances in the show- she did one last year i guess. The only judge i ever cared about was Simon. But yes, it is nice to see a new judge- maybe they could bring kara back- she was great and funny.

i also do not watch idol just for her but to me she is a good judge. she also did a performance this year a few weeks back. i heard that Kara was a very good judge also but i think i only saw her once or twice. it is good to see new faces but at the same time it is good to keep the same judges because they become friends and learn more about each other and they learn to accomodate everyones thoughts/wishes into their judging and the people they keep/let go.

I already make a discussion about this,,,oh well accidents happen. No ahrd feelings. From what I know, she is asking for a raise in able for her to stay because she wanted to revive her singing and acting career,.which she cant have time to because she is doing idol. Hey idol revived her music career, I dont think that song On the floor(which is a "rip off" of lambada) will be a hit she is not TV. Idol revitalized her dying career.

i am soooo sorry i didnt even notice ill have to make sure to check a little harder next time. i heard that is was for the money and also it depended on the twins. i can see her wanting to revive her acting and her singing career but it shouldnt be about the money but then again i am sure that american idol takes a lot out of a person and more money would make it worth the while. she is a good judge in my opinion. there are a few things that i would change but in the end overall i like her and do not want to see ehr go but i am a little curious who they will bring in to replace her. well it looks like either way she will have a career thanx to american idol. i wish her the best of luck in which ever she chooses to do.

I saw JLo on an interview the other day, she was being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest...I think that is his name, anyhow, she was telling Ryan that she did not know whether or not she would be returning, but that she would give an answer soon. He was like, well, when will that answer be? And she told him whenever someone says to her, "OK, you have to give us an answer RIGHT NOW." She said that she has to take into consideration the demands on her, and how those demands effect the twins. We just have to wait and see what she does, basically she was saying that at this point, SHE doesn't even know what she is going to do.

well, any worker feels burnout after doing a while one job. when one sees that there is no growth and progress in career and no possible advancement in certain field, then it is a sign that it is time to go. i think j-lo has felt this in american idol. i wish her luck in her new endeavor.

that is very true. people get bored of doing the same things over and over me included. i enjoy her being a judge because she has a lot of good things to say and she can be honest with people for the most part. i also wish her luck but i also hope to see her next year to lol guess we will see tho :)

The judges the last couple of years have been doing this. J-Lo did this last year too and then came back when more money was put on the table. If she gets her 'raise' she will be back I am sure.

I think american idol is annoying their viewers with so many changes of judges throughout the years. They should get a good group of judges that they know will stick with it for at least 5 years. I have to say, I miss the old Paula, Simon, and Randy. American Idol has lost my interest throughout the years- too many changes.

i do not remember Paula all that much but Simon i remember very well it is hard to just forget him lol. i thought it wouldnt be the same without Simon and it really isnt the same but to me this group of judges is a good batch but they need to change a few things on the way they give praise or not to the contestants. i do agree with you tho there have been a lot of changes through out the years and it would be nice to see it stay the same from 1 year to the next but i guess may be they do this to being a bigger audience each year.
