Hi butterscotch~classics are always a good read. I believe I read that one in high school, which was over 20 years ago but I remember I enjoyed it. Hope you are too. Thanks for the response!

Yes, I actually felt a little bored at the first half of the book because the story is a little slow for me but after when Darcy confessed to Lizzy, I got so excited reading it. I know I will like this book more after I finish it.

Hey there weye13~wow three books simultaneously? I have trouble reading two at a time...I need all my concentration to go in to one book~lol. I love Ellen DeGeneres and want to read that one by her. Is it good? Thanks for responding and hope you're enjoying!

Wow, me too, I cannot read three books all at the same time because I cannot concentrate on one story. I want to be able to enjoy each book at a time.

I always have several books that I'm currently reading. Though sometimes I do get confused with the story line if I haven't read the book for a long time. Haha! But I like having several books in my current reading list so I can choose whichever book suits my current need or how I feel. Like if I'm feeling a bit sad, I'll pick up the book of Ellen DeGeneres but if I want fantasy, I'll go for Terry Prachett's. Though I sometimes do get so absorbed in a book that I end up concentrating on that book alone then putting my other books aside. :)

I have just finished reading The Frugalista Files by Natalie P McNeal. It's the lightest reading I have had in a couple of months. I read more serious stuff normally.

I've read Night Sins.... I believe? That is the one where the little boy goes missing, right, in a small town in Minnesota? I read that one a few months ago - it seemed a little slow at first, but I really enjoyed it! I loved the main chick detective character - she was pretty awesome. I love that female empowerment aspect of some of these 'detective' crime/mystery books. I live for that! I just finished reading another one of Tami Hoag's books, "Kill the Messenger", which was OK (But I preferred Night Sins better). What I have been reading lately is James Patterson's "1st to Die" series - also with another female lead (love it), and there are 10 books to the series - and I am on #6. I started about a month ago and I have literally NOT been able to put them down. They are SO engrossing! I would definitely suggest them if you haven't read them before or James Patterson. SO GOOD! I am about halfway through #6 and I will probably finish it by the end of the weekend. I love reading. It's so relaxing!

Hi maezee~yes "Night Sins" is that book. This is my second book I am reading by Tami Hoag (the first being "Dark Paradise"~which I absolutely LOVED). I love her, she is such a great author. I am a huge James Patterson fan. I have read most of his single books and the entire Alex Cross series, which I also love! I have not read the "1st to Die" series. I think one of the reasons is because I like to read series in the order that they are meant to be read and the books I need to begin are never at the library. I'm weird like that. When I was reading the "Prey" series by John Sandford, I had to read them in order. If I skipped one book, I always found out something that was in the previous book and it would irk the heck out of me to have to go back and read about it when I already knew what happened. Thank you for the response! I always love chatting with fellow readers~here's to good reads!!!

Thanks for the response kvarun88. I hope you have found that you truly like reading that book. I have found myself on a few occasions not being able to get in to a book and throw it to the side to never be touched again. One of those books was "Hornet's Nest" by Patricia Cornwell. That one experience tainted me from trying her other books...we'll see if I can pick one of hers up at a later time. Another one was "Lisey's Story" by Stephen King"~I love him but that book didn't it do it for me...Anyway, I kinda got away from the subject there for a minute...I myself want to check out Dan Brown. Thanks again.

I have just finished reading the three books in The hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. A fantastic read and I would thoroughly recommend them. This is a book that represents a vision of a dystopian society. It is set a post-apocalyptic vision of the USA and features a country called Panem divided into 12 (or is it 13!!) districts ruled by an oppressive government called the Capitol. As soon as I started to read the first book I really struggled to put down. It's pretty difficult to describe the genre - it is an adventure and science fiction book with a little bit of romance interspersed between, and also a touch of Big Brother thrown in.

I am reading all the Harry Potter books over again. I have been in a slump lately with being interested in books and hope that these will get me back on track again.

I have not had the pleasure of reading the Harry Potter books, but everyone I talk to says they are really good. I have seen the first movie "The Sorcerer's Stone" I believe and it was good. Good luck with that slump...I read every single day so I know how you must feel. Thank you for the response!!!
