Ugh... One of those Days

I went to sleep last night with all good intentions of getting lots done around the house while my man was away doing a day's work. It's not often I have the opportunity to be left home alone so that I can motor away at my own pace, cleaning, tidying and organising, so I wanted to make the most of it! I got up and fought to get motivated. No energy at all. I know I'm coming down with something and my man is blaming it on the weather. I'm also freezing cold! I just can't get warmed up at all. Still and all I managed to get a few of the jobs I wanted to complete done. This evening though, I was meant to be going to town with my younger sister and some of her friends but by the time I'd had my dinner and 7pm rolled around, I was in no fit state to go anywhere. Now, I'm sitting here at home instead with my feet up, watching TV with a cat curled up on the couch right next to me. I reckon I'll probably head upstairs soon, bring a hot water bottle and the laptop with me. Can't bring the cat though, I'm allergic to him, so having him in the bedroom is not a great idea. I also have to wake up again somewhere between 1 and 3am to let the little sister in to sleep on my couch... That's if she can wake me by phone to unlock the door when I finally get to rest and get some of my energy back. What do you do when you have no energy at all and can't get warm?

I have to agree with the person that has already posted. A shower or exercising helps me get energized and makes me want to do more. If you don't want to do anything fancy do something like cardio like run in place for ten minutes or walk outside for 15 minutes. It's awesome an refreshing.

Thanks 011baby, I'll bear that in mind next time I'm feeling like that, though hopefully it will be quite some time before I feel that lethargic again, it was awful!

Take a warm shower and go to bed! That is your body telling you that you need to take it easy as it sounds like yourr immune system is down and you might be fighting off an illness here sooner than later. Can't you hide a key outside your house just for tonight so she can let herself in?

Thanks rewardsinlife for the advice. I've had a few days now and I'm starting to come back to myself. I think I was just a little run down but my energy levels are now nearly back to normal, it seems that I may just have needed a little break from the normal energy levels I put into my day!
