Did you know "If drunk, an ant will always fall on its right side"? This comes from a local paper Community Good News which is published weekly. I wonder who took the time and the money to do this study?

That's one of the most ridiculous and pointless things I've heard of in awhile. It had to be government funded. Whoever did the study has the system all figured out. When we were kids, we gave ants some of Daddy's leftover sweetened coffee and watched them stagger around with the caffeine effects. We should have been paid for that!

Hm. Maybe I should ask for funding to repeat the experiment... I like the idea of studying which way a bug will go to get around a rock!

Let's form an association and pursue some grants to fund the MyLot Think Tank. We could study dozens of things, and make money hand over fist.

Thank you so much for my Monday morning laugh!!!! I would have loved to see that!! I never thought of doing something like that, I have ants in my kitchen and I am really tempted. But that's all I need is a bunch of crazed ants crashing around keeping me up all night!!! Too bad you didn't know about all the government funding for these ridiculous studies, you could have made a fortune and had what ever you wanted as a kid!!! I'm going to look into government money for some stupid study!!! Like if there is a rock in the way of a bug will it go right or left? Or the mating habits of the green speckled anterior spider.

That is plain stupid, why would anyone pay someone is the most important question, and is the funding coming from individual or our taxes??? There is no sense in doing a study like that and I'd like to know not only who paid for it, but why, what the reasoning was for it..

I know and it doesn't make sense unless they thought by getting the ants drunk, it can be a less harmful ant killer or something..

The same people who studied and determined that there are left handed and right handed roly polies. Who really cares about either one of them? I certainly do not. I wonder if PETA should get after them for cruelty to animals?

Hummm, I wonder if anyone thought to do a study on if roly polies play pool with each other? I mean using each other as pool balls! The ridiculousness of the whole thing is that they actually give out money to these people to do the studies. Shoot, I may do some investigating and see if there is a way to get on the money band wagon... there has to be some ridiculous study I can preform that will net me a few grand. It would help pay off a lot of bills!

hi loverbear how funny and how much money I wonder was wasted oh that. I read once where some government had spent several million on a study of whether or not some cockroaches were gay? I mean comeone on those are vermin so who cares about gay cockroaches?Money spent for the silliest of study's.

It is interesting, but with the financial problems in the world do we really need to have studies about which way ants fall when they're drunk? Wouldn't that money be better spent helping to feed the hungry, house the homeless, clothe the people who don't have enough to wear? Plus it is plain hysterical that we need to know which side drunk ants fall. Nice to meet you too, welcome to the Lot. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

hi loverbear and how about the study on whether or not there are gay cockroaches? who cares and why waste money on that, instead spend it to find a cure for diabetes? that would be more practical.
