I woke up this morning with slight body pain maybe because of carrying heavy goods yesterday at the market when I go along with my friend. I decided to have a little exercise outside near my door yard to breath the morning breeze. I saw my plants are growing fine because they have enough water when rain pours these past few days. I saw my Aloe Vera plant is almost over flowing where I put it. I only put it on a large milk can when they are still small and now the leaves are growing large. I heard lot of benefits it has specially in scalp for growing hair. I also have a here a lotion that has Aloe Vera ingredient. That's why it is maybe good for our skin. I still did not research on it. I decided to ask mylotters first if anyone uses Aloe Vera in their own way. Pleas share mylotters...

Hello :). I have aloe in my yard and I use it for sunburns and burns I get while cooking. The aloe I have is one of those that stink horribly for a while after you cut it, so I tend to cut some every now and then to leave in the fridge, so that it becomes less stinky :p. I haven't heard about it helping hair growth, do you apply it directly in your head for that to work?

I made my share in the first box, but I wanted to let yo know how fortunate you are to have your plants growing so well. Mine is suppose to grow and have babies, but it hasn't in all the years I had this plant. (good thing I don't get burned often..lol) But a member finally told me a few weeks ago about putting it where it will get morning sun and to water it twice a week. I wish now that I took pictures, because it looks like it might be finally getting bigger..

Several friends of mine use it for sunburn but I´m still waiting for my plant to grow enough as to use it myself. I was given a cutting and it is still small. But I use several products with aloe vera (such as soaps, shampoos and conditioners) and find them better to my skin than other products. Also, the only paper handkerchiefs I can use with no allergy problems are ones with aloe vera.

I have 4 flowerpot of aloe vera in my home. My mom plant it. I usually use it to refreshing my hair. I have hair loss. This is some description about aloe vera. Aloe Vera is a proven natural remedy that promotes health and physical wellness. Hidden in what looks like a common succulent species is a natural miracle people have used to treat a wide array of ailments, from acne to cholesterol. An increasing number of studies help support what people have known since the 16th Century: Aloe Vera truly is a one-of-a-kind plant used by millions for any number of reasons. Such as Acne Treatment, Digestive Health, Abrasions Allergies, Chronic Fatigue, Sunburns, and Infections. I read it sites which have the community of aloe vera.

It is good to apply a split leaf to a burn. Some people drink it for digestion. I really like the looks of it. You should research it. It is very good for your skin.

I've never found it to work to relieve body pain, but if I burn myself, an aloe vera plant is great. We have one in our apartment, and if one of us burns a part of our body, whether it's a sunburn, or an accidental burn from touching a hot pot lid on the stove, or a burn for any other reason, aloe vera will help the problem, help the pain, and heal the burn faster.

Yes, my mom used it for burns. She used it for poison ivy and it didn't work.. but she found something called silver leaf worked amazingly.. she made a tea out of it and put it on her skin. She was very allergic to poison ivy .. so much so that she would get a systemic infection sometimes that put her in the hospital.

My dad got his hands burned once, and a lady from our church brought him her aloe vera plant. She put some on his hands and they healed within the day. Incredible, isn't it? I've also heard a lot of people, including celebrities talk about using it on their face.

I eat the pulp of the plant, well, drink chunks of it in a beverage that I make. Sometimes I buy the ready made drink at the store and then add extra pulp and water to cut down on the sugar, as they do put too much sweetener in the commercial stuff. There is a trick to getting the pulp out, though because the base of the leaf has "latex" stuff that tastes awful and is toxic, I think, and the outside of the leaves have little thorn like things. So I slice the leave at an angle from the base and then scoop the pulp out first and then cube it up. Aloe is a wonderful plant.

I'm using an Aloe Vera gel after waxing or shaving and it does wonders since I don't have any skin problems since I used it. I also use it on my hands after doing the laundry or washing the dishes since it makes my skin tight but so soft. Downside is it smells awful but I could mask the smell with another lotion or perfume so its okay. I also heard its great with sunburns.

The Aloe plant is wonderful. My mom had one when I was growing up. She would use a piece of it for burns .. like if she got splattered with bacon grease, she would put aloe on it. She would cut off a piece of the plant and squeeze the gel onto the burn. She swore by it. I buy lotions with aloe vera in it.

Hello, lyn... Yes, growing up we used aloe a lot when we had issues. It is wonderful for sun burns, for wounds, and for just about any type of surface burn from something hot. We used it mostly for sun burns...
