Guess I Have to Go Shopping for New Glasses Again :(

I just broke my spare cheap pair last night, argh. I forgot I had them on top of my head, and went to put the towel on my head in order to wash my face and they went crashing to the floor as I had to bend down to get the towel on, this time cracking the bottom of the frame so the lens fell out. Ugh, if it isn't one thing, it's another. It's not my year. This is my "spare" pair, and not the good pair thank goodness. I still have to go out and find another "cheap" pair now online if I can. I hate shopping for new glasses.

Have you tried Zenni Optical yet? I am going to place an order this weekend and try it. They are recommended by Clark Howard. You can get prescription glasses for under 20 dollars a pair. I am going to get a few extra pairs and sunglasses too. I am always losing or breaking them since I don't wear them all the time.

No I haven't, I forget which one I got these for. I have to check on the sites again. Zenni Optical sounds reasonable. I still have my prescription from last year it seems, somewhere. I wanted to get a pair of prescription sunglasses too but with all my medical expenses piling up lately I guess that is out of the question. :( Thanks for the suggestion!

I really hate it when I have to go shopping for new glasses, because they are so expensive where I live. I went shopping with my Mum the other day, and she had to use her wages for the whole week on the pair that she eventually decided on; and they were one of the cheaper options in the shop at the time. We should not have to pay that amount of money for something which, at the end of the day, we don't really have any choice about whether we wear or not because we either pay that amount of money, or we're just not able to see.

Wow, how sad. It doesn't seem right to have to pay for something that should be gotten with insurance. Many many of us don't have it, only the really lucky ones. Its a shame she had to use all her wages for the week on them. That is why I go every 3+ years. :( It isn't really a choice, you're tight. I envy people who don't ever have to wear them and can see good without glasses. I used to wear contacts but they started bothering my eyes alot as I got older. They are about just as expensive and you must get new ones at least once a year.

Murphy's law. If it wasn't for bad luck I would have no luck at all. So you order them online? I have found some good deals at Rite-Aid. Might even have some good ones at Walgreen's but would be more expensive there. I would hate trying to find the right ones I needed online too. Good luck!

Glasses modern are harder to break - More economic now glasses
i been wearing glasses since i was 7 years old , those days until now my eyesight power has increase to almost 900 and as blind as a bat without mine glasses.I learn throught hard way , not to put the glasses for granted not like beside me during my sleep or on the floor or on the head or on the bathtub because accident will happen and the glasses will break.Because of the high power my glasses are expensive hence my spare is my old glases.which i have few.
