I can't find my craft project. This is driving me crazy.

I made a weaving that is almost done for a friend of mine and she's going to be bringing me to the dance, etc. weekend. I'm almost done. But I can't find it! That's the problem with a mobile project. Did you ever loose a project? When, like after you started, during the making, or after you finished? Or maybe even before you started? I bought stuff one time for a project from a variety of places. The next thing I knew, I couldn't find the stuff from the different places all at one time. I hope I find it. It has two picture jasper eagle stones that have a hole to be used at beads. Both are already woven in and it took me all day at a friend's store to find two eagles that looked like they went together.

Yes, and after you buy the other pair, you'll probably find them!

Try retracing your steps. I know I have also lost things in the past and they always seem to show up when your are not looking for it. Sometimes I pretend to look for something else and then the item I a really looking for shows up. I hope you can find it. It sounds like you need a queen room (a room just for you) so you can keep your projects going.

I like the queen room idea. Or at least a craft room of my own. Thanks and take care. I can't remember much prior to my operation so retracing my steps, I don't know, I hope things come back to me.

Aye... wait until you don't remember losing a project, but finding it a couple of years later! I did that with a blanket I was knitting, of all things. I totally forgot I had even started it until I found it in a bag when I was cleaning out the closet. I hope you find your weaving!

That is the story of my life the last fifteen to twenty years. I am in the process of finishing some things that I have found. I have squares for an afghan I started for my daughter about twenty years ago. I just washed them to try to get them to block the same size. If I was tense, I crocheted tight, relaxed, I crocheted relaxed. I did some on the bus while waiting for students. I did some while watching girls play volleyball. In a way I am glad I am just putting them together now, as I think I will put borders of black around the pastel and variegated squares because her sofa has those light rose and blue shades with black. It will look more sophisticated. I sure hope you find your project that you need right now. I am going back outside to move the planters for the tomatoes as I got the spot cleared for them. I have henna on my hair and a shower cap and I am sweating like crazy. I would love to see a picture of those stones.

That's the great thing about squares. I, too, do things differently from time to time. If I kneeded something today, it would have to be a project I could finish in a couple of hours or do a square a day because I could never keep the tension the same from day to day. Good luck with your henna hair. Just got the mail between rain showers. It looks like it's about to rain again.

I meant knitted, not kneeded, my brain is nuts for typing today.

i lose a lot of things and my best advice for you is to retrace your steps when you last handled the project. i have even lost my glasses and spend a half an hour looking for them and my hubby loses his wallet once in awhile too (i keep telling him that he should have a set place to leave it every day when he comes home, but nooooo.)

I haven't lost a project, but I did loss a reusable coffee filter my neighbor let me borrow so I could use the pattern to make my own. That was at least 2-3 years ago and though she has another, I can't find hers and I didn't even get started on making one for me..:(

Well, that was sort of a project, the reusable coffee filter pattern project. Wonder where it went.

I have no idea, the last time I saw it was in 2011 while spring cleaning. I thought I'd find it this year, but I didn't so I might buy three, two for me and one to replace my neighbor's...

That's a good idea to replace hers. You might still use one for a pattern if you buy two and end up making a third. You're thinking all the time. TAke care.

I do hope you find it in time. I don't do a great many crafts, but am very good at losing other things. I imagine that if you've been carrying it around with you to different places it is probably in an unexpected bag, in the coat cupboard or underneath a car seat.

Or maybe even in my trunk. It's so hard to know.

Oh, hope you found your weaving!! I can't recall ever losing a project, but I have lost various materials for them. I would buy things and completely misplace the bag somewhere at home. Sometimes I would even have to repurchase items because I would never find them in time - only to find them AFTER the project was done - grrrrr. The good thing is, if things are lost at home, then most likely it's still around. Oh, hope you found your weaving!!

I've looked everywhere I can think of except my car. So if the heat subsides long enough, I will look in my car. Sometimes I bring projects with me to places, so maybe that is where it is. Yes, so frustrating when you rebuy, start over and find it afterward.
