what do you like about the Simpsons?

The simpsons has a unique charm which many people in different countries find easy to relate to. Dad who likes a drink and works hard,loyal mum who does the house work and the three kids it is just like so many families around the world. And with its grown up themes the simpsons is a all time classic which people still watch today,most comedies usually faze out but the simpsons has the staying power because it is something the average family can relate to.

i love the simpson show, especially homer. though he acts stupid 80% of the time, he still finds a way to show smart. maggie is something else, i like those 10 seconds prank by maggie it really adds the fun in marges' life

Really? You do not advise it for kids? This is one show that all kids can watch it is a family show actually. I mean all of these kids are watching south park and family guy and they do not need to be. They all need to be watching the simpsons and educational shows. There is nothing wrong with the kids watching the simpsons in my opinion. This show is better for a child to watch than the family guy show and south park. I do know that some think that the treehouse episodes are crazy, but they are funny and there are like 23 seasons out and that is why everyone likes it. This is the longest running show and it is still going.

Well to be very honest, i have never watched a single episode of The Simpsons. But i have heard the height of hilariousness and funny element of this awesome and famous show. The characters are quite funny and it is because of this reason that people have loved it so much and it is already having its 21 seasons.

I think that the main thing that I like is the fact that they are just like any normal family with the things that happens to them, and there is always going to be at least one of the characters who you are able to identify with, whether that is one of the family themselves or one of the smaller characters in the programme. Almost everything that has happened in the show is something that I am able to say that i have either had experience of or know somebody who has, and that is one of the things that makes it a lot funnier for me.

I think the entire thing is quite funny. I have watched them since they appeared on the Tracy Ulman show in the early 80's. I happen to live in Portland, Oregon, just 123 miles away from THE Springfield! All of the names come from areas in and around Portland, so I am in the middle of all of it. The creator Matt Groning lived here. My son and I reference this show in many different situations we have. Sometimes, around here, live imitates art.
