I'm not too fond of Obama's politics, but this is downright funny and I didn't see anything wrong with it. It's true that when he talks you're never sure of what may come out, but he isn't the first president to do that!

I understand what he is trying to say, and the way he said it is certainly kind of funny. Re-election time is coming soon so we are going to see all kinds of things happening that will benefit us, of course if he does get re-elected things will go back to being bad again. I know it is not totally his fault but the state of country is so bad right now.

Personally I have always wondered about him, because there are many times some of his antics and ways he says things, even since he first took office that seems to amaze me. I often wonder if his wife ever gets embarrased and what she really thinks. But with all the things lately going on anymore nothing could ever surprise me I think.

I guess the video is funny, in an odd sort of way. Unfortunately it is not funny that he was amused with himself. At a time when most people would use that money to feed, clothe, and house their families... I guess I just would like my President to take things more seriously.

I do agree with you! He did seem flustered by the laughter he got as a response.

We get rebates for upgrading our furnaces, air conditioners, etc. but the government does not plunk down an extra $3,000 to do so. First we have to get the work done, pay the contractor, then the contractor has to give the government agency the bill after we paid him. Then it depends on whether the furnace, etc. was an upgrade and energy efficient as well as the age of the house and whether it would make the cost of heating or cooling the house less. So there is a catch.
Sometimes it is cheaper to forgo the government. I know when we fixed our house and were allowed a disability rebate to do so, the baseboard and extra doors were not covered.
Obama sounds like he wants people to worship him for doing so much for the people.

I missed the part about where the extra money would come from, but he failed to mention that they sure won't have any extra money if his health care bill is ever fully implemented. Imagine how surprised the people who thought they'd get free health care will be when they find how how expensive it will be for even less care and they will have to wait a long time for an appointment to see a doctor.

Yeah, I missed that part, too, and what you say is true.
I got a belly laugh out of how he said that about buying a... thingamajig for your... um, furnace!
He was once billed as a good public speaker, but he's gotten more comfortable with the role, so he pulls a good one now and then. I kind of enjoyed it.

I think he is a jokester lately. He flip flops alot and lost my confidence. I think these people we elect, really do not care. That is the big problem

Yep, I did, didn't I!
