would you be able to survive without facebook. as i have problem loading the site this day on facebook although i could access after few minutes again, that i wonder if this loading problem has sometimes to do with the IPO of the facebook owner having problems. I have read that facebook owner is facing lots of lawsuits because of the failure in his IPO. so i hope that it is not the end of facebook.

Facebook is loading fine where I am, but I do have a fast connection. As for surviving without it, oh yeah. I give myself days off from it, even though I have a lot of friends on the site. Sometimes you have to deal with real life, and it's good to get outside, away from the computer for awhile.

It's a good practice you've made to balance both online and real life. Ultimately we'll have to live and enjoy our real life and it makes good sense to use FB only in free time.

In fact it will not be a big deal for me. It doesn't matter that I can't access to Facebook. I have an account in Facebook but actually I don't know more of the friends there. Besides, my real friends are hardly active in Facebook. Sometimes I feel bored to it. I love China

I would be fine if it closes. Maybe more people would get busy here and I could close another tab too I never used my account there until just over a month ago and it is taking time away from myLot. My own fault I know but I find it rather a time waster.

If facebook ended I wouldn't be affected by it too much, I use it but I don't really get talked to all that often on there so I don't really enjoy it that much. It is a nice way for me to talk to my friends that don't live in the same town as me but the really good friends that I have usually talk to me on the phone. Overall it wouldn't be that big of a deal, I feel that true friends will always stay in contact with each other if they want to and I don't see why facebook going offline would stop that.

Hiya hotsummer, Well if it does go which I hope it does not that will be it for many many people who use it for all kinds of things. I donĀ“t depend on Facebook and I am taking my photos off there bit by bit seeing the things I am seeing going on too. A few times you get glitches but it well maybe that they are changing the way the site looks? I wish the Guy well he has given us something where we all can be and many thousands of people have been reunited thanks to facebook itself. Without it they probably might never have found each other again so there is that to it. Hope he can straighten it all out and people continue to enjoy it and using it. Yes life does go on but those people found their lost families for nothing so there is that side to it not just the money and the problems. xxx

I can say that I can survive without Facebook but I will feel sad if Facebook won't get back online. It is since I have lots of photos uploaded there as my one reason of using Facebook is for photo albums/ to keep photos. And I am also using the site to keep in touch with friends specially those who lives far.

No, it has got nothing to do with the IPO issue. Maybe your connection is slow or the site is being worked on to fix something. As far as I'm concerned, I'm not a facebook addict and I can surely do without it. I won't feel bad even for a day if it goes offline. And, others may find it difficult to adjust to life without FB, but there are lot more sites waiting to take place of FB and soon they will find an alternative and start enjoying.
