It has been my daily habit upon waking up in the morning, to pray. And part of praying is offering whatever things that i have to do for the day and that to help me be to be always calm and patient. As i have earlier discussed i really got angry with the carpenter that didn't inform me last week that he will not be able to work for me today and thereafter. I get really pissed i told him i was angry at him when i called him. He apologized thru text but i didn't answer him.

I don't want to get angry that way so i prayed for God to calm me again. And after lunch, God did answer me and calmed me and made me happy. Our HR staff called to inform me that i was given another month with pay by SSS for my operation last May 3. Then, the reimbursement of some of my medical bills are already with HR. She asked me for an email requesting that it just be deposited to my ATM payroll account.

Oh, i was so happy by that news, that the anger i felt this morning was completely gone. I know i can get another carpenter to make me a cabinet.

The wonders that prayers do to us! I am so happy that you have thought of just praying for this instead of continuing with the emotions that you have. i am sure you now know the good things a good prayer life is for all of us. Prayers have always been very effective for me too, when my emotions are clouded and when my decisions may be affected by the emotions i have too, i think i can only do so much as to be guided by prayers... i know it will calm me and help me with anything at all... Prayers always answers everything for us... may it be immediate or not...

Yes, chiyosan, we are living testimonies of how prayers can do wonders to us. I always believe that when in a conflicting emotion, one can find calmness in praying.

prayer is a important part of our life.Prayer makes a connect with a person to their God(ALLAH).Persons have face different problems and then a prayer is a only to talk their God.Prayer give us spiritual piece........

Glad to hear that you got extra pay and some reimbursement. It is really a bonus ... that you can pay for some useful item. Prayers is a wonderful way to communicate with God. Prayers move mountains and it is really effective. It is good to know that in whatever circumstances, God is just a prayer away. And it is free , no need internet or pay the phone bills.

Summit to God, we do our best and God do the rest.

simplyd it is human nature to get anger when what we want is not done immediately. sometimes it may be good that a particular work gets delayed. I am not supporting the carpenter who absented himself without notice. hope your problems get sorted out early. Hope you recover fully from your operation.

Yes, it is indeed human nature to get angry , rav. But i don't want it to ruin my day, thus i prayed for God to help me calm down, so i can think of the next step to do. Yes, i am now recovering from my operation. Thanks rav for remembering.

Prayers works wonder. God didn;t made you calm, He made you really happy!

I say my prayers morning and evening so I do hope God will always makes me happy too and like you I asked God to give me more patience and make me calm always as sometimes I do get irritated with others easily

So like me, you also pray for patience and calmness , Enelym. I too, would sometimes get irritable and i don't like to be that way so i pray for patience.

Yes, God not only calmed me, but made me so happy this day. I was able to accept the fact that i have to wait for another carpenter to be vacant.

Yes, many times we need to always remember to Pray and Trust god especially the days things are not always going ok. They keep on telling us things happen for a reason and in gods time. I have often wondered why in certain order, but usually if you wait long enough there will always be Good with the bad.

Prayer can be done at any time we wish to say it, my friend. And i must agree that most of the people would pray specially when things aren't going okay. But because God is good, He still answer the prayers of those who only remember Him when they need His help. They should remember to pray at all times, in good or in bad, because prayer doesn't only mean requests from Him but thankfulness for letting us live our borrowed life from Him.

I have full faith on prayer, when ever i feel sad/upset/happy for any reason i do pray and soon feel normal , all anxiety/stress vanishes, selfless prayer is best, but i don't think we pray like that. Thanks for this discussion and the details.

Yes, professor, i am a staunch believer that prayer really works. It works mysteriously in ways we never expect. Sometimes, i would pray for something. Though it won't be given to me in the most noticeable way, it would surprise me when it comes in a different form. Just like you, whenever i am sad , angry or worried, i simply pray fervently and in a little while it seems to give me a peaceful feeling.

That's because the things for have been praying for quite sometime would suddenly be answered.

Like that, i got angry but it's as if God would like to appease me by suddenly granting the things i have been praying too after that incident.

Maybe they are those people who only prayed when they need something and expect that it would be answered the way they want it to. God answers in His own time. Prayer shouldn't be like that. It should be composed of a worship, praise and of course requests. And when we pray , let us accompany them with good deeds.

Yes, you are true, dear friend. If we open our hearts and pray to God, He will surely hear our prayers. I have seen some people praying for unnecessary things in life and their prayers will not be heard. Pray to God whatever is needed in your life and its always good to pray for others also.

GOD..He answers each and every prayer of yours.It is not necessary that the answers are not much in agreement with the way you hope for it to happen.GOD has his own designs on every living thing in this universe. The role of destiny is evident in this context. GOD has his own designs on every creature that he has created.Prayers in all earnestness will definitely be heard and answered though not in the way that we hope for it to appear.
