My pilgrimage, gifts and Fathers’ Day

During pilgrimage, I had bought. ‘Prasad’ in the temple and gift articles like sari, dresses, jewelry made from conch shells at Puri sea beach. As per our tradition when we return from pilgrimage our close relations receive us with coconut and new cloth and we give them gifts and ‘prasad’; offerings made in the temples. My wife has distributed them here; I will send them tomorrow Monday to my friends abroad; who give me regard as father as Father’s Day gift. Any such tradition there? Do you distribute gifts after a journey or pilgrimage? How you observe Father’s Day? Please share and comment on this. Thanks in advance. Prof.Dr. B.Saraf. PhD 10th June 2012.

Happy FAther's Day!!! families do celebrate it here in our country. so it is a family affair really. for me, i make a nice dinner for jose, sometimes candle lit for a more romantic effect. sometimes, jose does the surprising - he brings me to a nice restaurant with fine dining and then we go to nice place to have a dance. anything goes.. its family bonding. yeng having her own family has her ways too. have a very nice day. ann
