About 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen, who fulfills his dream, a promise he made to his wife.. to go to the South America..by tying up hundreds of balloons to his house. It was a really touching movie with lots of laughs too. talking dogs who love chasing squirrels and a big bird who loves chocolates.. I just felt sad for Charles Muntz, who got so obsesses with finding he creature and to prove that he was not a fraud...

Yes, even though it is a bit late.. i am glad i was able to watch this movie now. The house in the movie was cute, small yet cozy.. I doubt an ordinary house can fly though, unless it's really built to withstand it, the pressure and all.

As far as i know, this movie is not a newly produced movie but indeed this movie have a great story and lessons to learn for people of various age. Another thing about this film is the fact the dreams can really come true if we put some decent actions and time in fulfilling such dreams. One more thing that I really enjoyed about this movie is the innocence of the boy in obtaining his badge by helping the elderly. His great passion for helping Mr. Fredricksen allowed me to realize that helping should also mean sacrificing some things. There are things that we must give up and leave in order for us to be more progressive and be truly happy.

Yeah, it had been shown in theaters maybe 2 or 3 years ago.. We do learn a lot of stuff even from animated movies. Both Carl and Russell learned from each other.. it is nice find a friend like them.

I loved that movie. I was not sad for the Muntz character at all. He was a very mean man! It was a touching tail of growing old and finding a new purpose in life though. I enjoyed watching it so much.

Well, Muntz did lose face because of what happened. His name was destroyed and his pride was deeply hurt.. Yeah, i loved the end.. It was a nice friendship..

I cried watching this movie especially the part when his wife passed away. That was so touching. Even though no words passed between them, the feelings was so obvious. The music too helps in creating the mood. I really love the show.

It was quite obvious the wife would die, but i still felt really sad because of the music and the emotions in the ace of Carl.. it's amazing how computer generated characters can portray those emotions..

I love this movie maybe because there is a talking dog I'm a sucker for movies with dogs in it. But really I like this movie because of the love the main character has to his wife. And its very touching too. I hope my hubby will be like that when we grew old...

Yeah, it would be awesome if there was a gadget like that since we would really understand what dogs would be thinking.. That main dog was so funny and innocent. The love they have for each other was really sweet too.. i am glad they got to grow old together.

Oh yes, the dog was quite surprising but they were really funny. I love that the Alpha dog's voice machine/gadget broke.. and he had a chipmunk voice. The flying house was cool too, but unbelievable.

yes, it had a lot of genres in it.. Pixar just makes the greatest and unforgettable movies.. Like Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Toy story franchise and now this.. They make animations really funny but also touching.

Soooooo tear jerker. If I were to be picked what character am I; I would be the grandpa. So sentimental yet during the years that he's clinging on to something, he became grumpy and sad. And sometimes, even when there's an opportunity to smile, I don't really mind giving too much attention and always focus in getting goals; well.. until the boy came in making him realized that there's something more to life. LOLZZZ... so love the movie.

Oh yes, watching it in 3d would have been nice. Especially the part in which they just reached the South America.. The place was quite beautiful and scary at the same time..

Hello lady1993 As I am not really into animated movies, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed, "UP". As you say, it was a really touching movie and also funny. Although it was animated and marketed to children, I think that it dealt with themes with which adults could really relate. As a dog lover, I especially loved the roles the dogs had in the film.

Yes, there were hundreds of dogs and they were also adorable but there were times that hey were scary, but it is just hard to hate them especially when they all scream squirrel. The story was nice and lots of people, ot just kids can relate.

Yes, the "squirrel" part was very funny and reminded me of my dog(s). I especially liked the "collar of shame" and when the Doberman had a voice-collar malfunction. I found that voice hilarious. Thanks for Best Response! :)
