Automated Teller Machine eats my money.

I hope the cash comes to you as fast as it can. It happened to couple of my friends and they have to wait for days before the money returned. I think sometimes this happens with the ATM machines that the money get debited and money does not come out. I would suggest you to go with withdrawal slips and checks if the banks are very near your house.

It seems like a few mylotters have been having trouble with ATM's overseas. I hate to hear it, and I know that it must've really scared you. I'd be scared and mad about my money until it came back to me.

yep it did but they were able to fix the computer overnight, I already have a discussion up on the latest problems I have with my bank card.

hi lyn, That sad it really sucks when this thing happen I remember when me and my bestfriend eating in a resto and I was paying the bill I handed my atm card he returned and said it was offline gggrrrr........ I hate it glad I still have other card with me. happy mylotting

Good to hear that you got your payment, congrats. Sad to know about your ATM problem, don't worry your money will be sorted soon and my wishes for it. Last month i went to ATM center to withdraw my money for my emergency needs. I input the card and entered the amount and waited some time to get my money, but unfortunately i don't received any money due to ATM problem. The cash in the ATM box is empty and they need to fill the cash. But the entered amount was debited from my account and i got the balance slip with reduced money. I used a different bank ATM which is near by to my home. I called my bank customer service and placed a complaint about this issue. They told me that they will credit the money in our account within 24 to 48 hours, if we withdraw the money in the same bank ATM. But it will take around a week, if we used another bank ATM to withdraw the money. As i used a different ATM, i am in need to wait for a week. The amount is high, some i am waited with little bit tensed. But i hope i will get the money, as i am working hard for it. After a week i checked my balance and the amount is credited in my account. We must be careful while using ATM and aware about this kind of issues. If you experience this kind of problem, don't worry just place a complaint about your withdrawal with the transaction number. The bank persons will take care about it and credit your money soon in your account.

hello lynboobsy dont worry about it this things happen all the time only this munth the ATM eated my card and money 3 times the employees of the bank forgot to put a sign that the machine is out of order and people get deluted all the time its good thing you have a relyable frinds to lend you money.

How disappointing. This has never happened to me. When my late husband and I were first together and both students we had to watch every penny and add up the cost of each item we put in our grocery cart. Although that was a long time ago, I still remember it well. He was the kind of guy who was always looking down everywhere we walked and would pick up any coins he found (me, too, but he found more than I did!) One day we were shopping in a store and I saw a beautiful 4 person set of fine china on sale for $15 USD and he did not say anything but he noticed I had spent some time looking at it and when we got to the check out, oh horrors, it was in our cart. I thought I had gone nuts wanting it so much that I must have put it in the cart by mistake and I started to put it back on the shelf. He said, "No! I put that in the cart because I am buying it for you and I have enough street money saved up to pay for it." Wow, that was so sweet. That was 43 years ago and he passed away 3 years ago, but I still have that china and it is still beautiful. It is white with green leaves and orange California poppies.

hi lynboobsy I had it eat my card but give me the money and I had it say I deposited ten dollars when I deposited a hundred dollar bill. this one made me wait for a month of p aperwork before the bank acknowledgede they goofed and put back ninety dollars in my account. your problem is one thats not happened to me yet. give it time. glad your friend could help you out. the bank likes to say they do not make mistakes but they do in fact. lol

that has happend to me on a few occasions, but not often.. if im not mistaken my bank will go get the card out and then give my money back then, it was awhile ago.. but i think that is what hapened.. unless they were on weekend and there not open.. sorry about your troubles , good to have the freind :)

Oh yes,that happens to me my dear and I know it's not funny :x Not to mention the hassle. Imagine that's one week huh.? Well, it takes me 24 hours to wait because it happens in the night time so I have to go back the next day. One good thing, it happens at the bank's ATM, or else I shall wait until the next schedule for the ATM operator to open the machine (if it happens in any ATM located in other areas- such as malls and other establishments. That's one problem using card :p

It never happen to me before, but I heard people talk about that problem over the radio. That really annoying indeed. So, you report it to the branch manager, but they said it might take up to one week to solve that problem, that just too slow. Why not call the ATM machine operator, and tell them dispatch some technical professional to solve that problem. Sometime, you just can't trust the machine.

At the ATM machine, you are the boss and take your own time and don't get panic on the people around and they are supposed to be outside the door also. Few things to be noted that you should give proper (correct) PIN No. & do not try for a 3rd time if you are not convinced. Also make sure that the card is properly inserted and do not get any help from the people around you. If you have some doubts or need any clarifications, please get into the nearest branch and get convinced. Now you have to wait till their formalities to be completed. Also, once you get the card, if the ATM is so near to the bank, please get the help of a bank employee to get the first time use. Also, have you got any receipt or any thing when you inserted the care? If the balance is not sufficient (I hope a minimum balance is required to keep as reserve) and if you try to withdraw the minimum reserve, you may have to pay interest to the bank. So, next time please be careful that the PIN is correctly provided and you are using the card in the proper way. If again repeats, get the help at the real time window. Such things never happened to me.

Oh that's so annoying when you dont get things that are in urgent need for you especially when you are about to withdraw money from ATM. Have patience! You will get your money very soon.

Thats very sad what happened to you bu you should be reimbursed it might take longer than a week because the bank has to go through a process called atm balancing which is just counting when this takes place you should get a credit and be able to withdraw your money good luck, and let me know how you get on it happened to me last month.

looks like a problem with the transfer...im sure it will be resolve in no time..luckily these things wasnt happened to me yet and i hope not hehehe

LYN You might have read my discussion about my drawing 10,000 in steps of 5000 each, i got money once; but slip said 5000 was paid 2 times, i was worried, after filing complaints i got back the money however.. Prof.Bhuwan. Thanks for sharing

I haven't experienced ATM eats my money but I don't want that horrible thing happen to me.. Anyway, I hope you will get your money as soon as possible.

I am happy to tell you that I do not have such incidents or problems in my life. During my withdrawals I get the money which I had entered in the ATM machine and I think I am too lucky with such a good ATM facility in my region.

Awww. Sorry to hear about that. I haven't experienced that but my friends did. Hope you can get your money soon!
