What do aliens plan to do with Earth?

If we are being observed by alien life forms, what do you think their purpose is in observing Earth. Are they planning to learn our weaknesses for an attack? Are we on the verge of a major scientific breakthrough which will allow us to become part of some inter-galactic federation. Is our world about to suffer some major catastrophe, killing all life on this planet, and the aliens are waiting for their opportunity to collect are natural resources? Whats your theory about aliens observing our planet?

That depends on which aliens you mean. If they're they evil spirit kind, then they know us pretty well already. They'd love nothing more than for some major catastrophe to happen to the earth and indeed, have been working at making that happen for some time now. Observe things like HAARP and climate control, underground mining and drilling. Then things like deforestation and climate change. But if you're talking about "flesh and blood" (not saying what kind of flesh and blood), then... well, it could be. Or not. If it is, they're more likely to be viewing us as a science experiment because obviously they're far more advanced than we are, technologically, anyway. If they wanted our gold and whatever, they would have already taken it. They may not be the least bit interested in our natural resources, though. What we think is important here (gold, diamonds, etc) may not be of any value elsewhere. Water, maybe.

Perhaps. If that's the case, they probably won't have much longer to wait.

Being though they are advanced, maybe stripping a planet of its resources when life on that planet still exists is morally wrong to them. Perhaps they are waiting till all hope is lost.

I've been thinking that too. Maybe our world is about to end, and that explains the recent activity we have been seeing.

possibly they have already invaded. most of the major world leaders are pretty strange looking people. Cameron in the UK and Obama both look plastic and i would not be surprised if they ripped thier faces off to eat innocent baby hamsters not unlike the 80s programme 'V'.

That's a disturbing thought. It would be kind of cool though. LOL.

You just have to ignore the fact that the aliens might eat you. Think about it though we live on a planet full of greedy self absorbed people. Wouldn't that be the ultimate penalty for living such selfish lives, to be used as cattle for aliens.

Well I am neither greedy nor self absorbed so I get to watch those ones get eaten and used for cattle? Awesome, sign me up!

Let's take a few steps back from Hollywood and those movies. Let's really think for a moment. Aliens coming to Earth would have highly developed technology. After all, it's not easy to travel a million light years just to get here. You can bet they do not have a food shortage problem and the minerals on Earth are common all over the universe. So what does the Earth have that they want??? There is the Science of it all,the DNA,understanding the balance mother Earth has sustaining such a variety of life forms. Will they contact us? What for?? Mankind isn't ready for their technology. They are wise enough to leave us alone til mankind grows up a bit. Would I get on the flying saucer if it landed??? You bet!! I need a few flying saucer parts. I'm having trouble getting mine off the ground. All I can say is if they let me on that ship, they better watch me closely. My pockets will be full of parts before I leave. As for all those abduction stories and all those fancy probes, think for a moment. Our science advances every day where medicine is less and less invasive. I bet the aliens can do it all without even touching you. So Relax,Forget those movies. It's all going to be alright. Hmmm??? I wonder if they would miss one of their androids?? Hmmm?? How am I to get it off the ship???

You should go on the round as a stand up. Stand up what we aren't sure!

I wouldn't think our resources are so common outside of this solar system. For one thing our fossil fuels would not be found anywhere else. We are probably just a giant ant farm to the aliens.

I think if they were here, then they might just observe our life and technology, because if they want to invade us, they would already done that many years ago. Maybe there's something here on earth that they don't really understand yet. I read in many news that UFO sometimes seen on the area where there's a nuclear power plants. Maybe they don't really understand what it is and wanted to know more about it. Sometimes people in modern world still amaze of what traditional people do in their daily life, maybe alien too still amaze of what human do in our daily life. But in the future, no one can tell, maybe they suddenly want to invade us.

Maybe its clearly academic, to see how a primitive civilization advanced. I can't imagine they would be fascinated by nuclear technology since it hasnt done us much good with space travel

If they wanted to do something they would have done it by now. Their is the popular theory that WE are their creations and they are checking up on us to make sure we are doing ok.

That could be a very obvious reason. It's just a shame they won't make themselves known.

Hello PhillyDreamer I think that the aliens who currently reside with us on the Earth are mostly composed of creatures who are simply looking for a nice retirement home. After all, we offer a variety of climates to suit the needs of many planets in the universe, plus Earth a fairly stable planet.

Wow that's a crazy theory. As much as we complain about out planet, for aliens to fly millions of light years just to have some fun is just crazy.

It seems no different than our traveling thousands of miles because of some destination and its climate. If alien technology is all we seem to think it is, then it's no big deal for them to hop over to Earth.

Well, let's just say, after seeing "Battleship", I sure hope that if they're observing us we just leave THEM alone and don't try to contact them because the results won't be pretty! Actually, according to the big screen ("Battleship", "War of the Worlds", "Independence Day") and the small screen ("V", "The Event", "Falling Skies") the aliens are up to no good and want to destroy mankind. I've never had much doubt that there's someone else out there and we'd be pretty arrogant and conceited to assume WE'RE the most advance form of life there is. It's really not THAT much of a stretch to think they might be watching us from afar...or perhaps from right under our noses! Annie

So do you think its all a big cover up by the government? The aliens are literally right under our noses?

The aliens as most of us would hope them to be planning to stage a ferocious attack on earth lacks conviction. After all why must people from the other world arrive and fight with its natives. The purpose of visits are in fact quite uncertain and it would not succumb to common beliefs and faith. The aliens visit us for devising plans and executing those perhaps for their own material gain. Who knows it any way?

There has to be some gain in it for them. If they were aggressive they would have attacked by now, unless there s something we have that is dangerous to them.

I would say that if there are alien life forms out there, they are probably of different views. Some may be to destroy us, while others maybe to learn from us. I heard somewhere they are a much higher intelligence, if they exist they want to learn from us and what we know.

What could Earth possibly teach an advanced civilization, except what not to do on a planet?

IF they are observing us, and I wonder back and forth sometimes, I think they are using us for our DNA. To strengthen it. On Ancient Aliens they show artifacts that show equipment worn by the ancients and even building being erected using extremely modern tools. SHowing that these certain buildings could not possibly be built by the tools they had at that time. I think that aliens have been observing us ever since they left this planet many, many, many moons ago. I think that Atlantis really existed until the big flood that over took it. Atlantis and a couple of other places were occupied by what later became the alien race because they left and inhabited another galacy. I think they are too far advanced to the point of no bodies and look nothing like us(some are 'greys' but not all look like that). They are trying to re-establish here. Why? Because they need to maintain what they have. They are apart of our DNA. They are just more evolved.

This is an interesting theory. So they are like a gaseous substance floating around, and every now and then they use us to evolve or recharge?

If there are aliens and they are watching us then probably they don`t need anything from us.They should be pretty far ahead us if we talk about technology. So probably they will keep an eye on us to make sure we won`t become a threat in the future.

That makes sense. We are much more dangerous in our ignorance for sure.

hmmm..Great question bro ! In Sri Lanka a person spoke us from a television program told that US took technology from those Aliens because An alien was captured in Roswell ! Anyway he told these aliens are not going to take over the world ! Aliens telling that there is a World War going be started in Earth in 2013(As i can remember). They are here to protect earth. He told he made a connection with those aliens. They said him that in that world the religion is Buddhism ! Anyway I am Catholic and I believe in God(Jesus)!

Like humans, aliens can not be generalized to all want the same thing, be the same thing, have the same motivations or be either bad or either good. Of course there are those who want out of greed, and those who want out of a sense of ownership, and those who want to help and be concerned about our welfare, and then there are those whose politics are a mess, and those who are glad of the latter because it lends them covers and diversions under which they can push their agendas. The result is that they never really come to any decisive action because like humans, they are not all united. This will continue until one power or the other gets stronger than any of the oppositions, and at that time we will not all experience the same thing.

sadly most of mankinds major advancements have been made during times of warfair, i see no reason why aliens would be any different. i would trust them only if they arrived in a spaceage version of a horse and cart. perhaps that is what Von Diekin meant by "chariots of fire"? lol.

I would imagine if aliens gained the ability to travel millions of light years through space, they would have worked out the political issues already. You could be right, but I would like to believe more advanced means a civilization has moved beyond the need for politics.

Just let me live in my world of make believe. LOL. Aliens are going to teach us all how to stop being greedy and live in peace. Thats the story I'm sticking too.

If ever they even bother to observe us...it would like observing ants going about their daily activities. Any intelligent civilization who can travel tens/hundreds/millions of light years would be so advanced technologically that we may not have the intellect to understand them. At the same time, they'd probably look at us as nothing but mere insects or even just another species to tinker with. In any case, I would personally love to see aliens come and introduce themselves to us. That would push us to stop dividing Earth by nations and start working as a global nation.

Perhaps our nature to conflict is like a disease to them. Maybe they have never been exposed to free will.
