So much hip pain!

As most of my friends know I have a lot of nerve pain coming from my compressed nerves in my spine and from spondylosis. Spondylosis is just a fancy name for arthritis.. it causes a lot of problems in the back and body.
The nerve problem is affecting my left hip. I sit here and suddenly I get electric shock like pains in my hip.. way inside it feels like.. in the ball and socket.. that's what it feels like. I can't move then. I can't move my leg because of the intense pain. I can't get up out of the chair by myself. I have to call for help for someone to help me get up.
I walked for a mile tonight, and yes I hurt, but I pushed through it. I walked the opposite way that I usually walk... this way gives me more hills to climb. I felt good that I walked, but the pain is horrendous when I get 'stuck' in this chair. I have pain now and can't get up... I'll try to turn my chair without moving my legs...impossible task.. last time I got up without help was to press down on my oxygen concentrator.. it helped me to get on my feet.. it still took about 10 minutes to maneuver myself until I could get up.
I hate getting old. I'm going to be 62 in a couple of days.. that's not really old anymore.. it's like the new 40. Not for me though...I get stuck and most people don't.
I'm on medicine for neruopathy.. but it doesn't block all the pain.. if a pencil drops on my foot or toe it feels like a sledge hammer... Not good at all.
If you have neuropathy due to back injuries or back problems... do you have over sensitive nerve endings when they are touched? or when you bump into something or something drops on your foot? I hit the foot of my bed by accident and I started crying it hurt so bad and so long... it finally quit hurting.
Thoughts, mylotters?

You can have relief from its pain when you try to submerge in a lukewarm water in a bathtub with a solution of Florida Water plus 2 spoons of salt. This is done for 10 minutes and dry your body by wiping in one stroke only downwards no upwards. Then rub your lower body parts with Alcamporada oil so that you can feel the soothing cooling effect of the oil.Try to drink a 1 1/2 spoonful of honey mixed with cinnamon powder in a glass of water. When you do this it could help make your pain stop.I am from the Philippines and it is done by me every now and then.

The honey I can do. I cannot get into a tub. Once I'm down I can't get out. I can't even get out if a low chair without help.

I really understand your situation because I also have arthritis but mine is just very mild one only in my ankle or in my knees.I have something very important to tell
you that Americans like you like to eat salads made up of cabbage, that you must really take out of your table because it is number one cause why you have constant pain everyday. Also potatoes has bad effects on us with arthritis.Instead of using cabbage, try to use peachy or lettuce when cooking your broth or soup.If there are someone to help you please do what I have instructed you to do and it really works wonder if you do it.

I'm sorry about the pain, I hope you can find a way for lessen it. I also have some pain in my legs and here in my left arm. I have arthritis too since I was young because I'm dancer and most of the pain are in my legs and feet. Now I avoided eating too much seeds like peanuts and salty food. I'm really aware of the food that can cause me pain. Hugs
to you I hope you get well soon.

I have hip and knee pain partially because of arthritis and partially because I am over weight. I take warm baths in epson salts. Helps. And they have warm patches you can put that help as well. To a point.I don't have any back problems over sensitive nerve endings sounds like fibromyalgia. Have you looked into that?

I did get sciatica a while ago thank goodness it has cleared up.A doctor told me the only way to get through it was to walk and excercise although painful I pushed on.There was a programme on our tv that said the new thinking for any back pain was to walk or jog when you get a bit better.I do feel for you and wish you well

Dear Pointless question
As I read your posting I am deeply moved by your sufferings. But suffering is good. It keeps us aware we are alive. That's the price, we all have to pay. A church goer in my church has more pains that you. She can't even walk and has to travel by a wheel chair. Pain killer could be an answer but do not be overindulgent on it. It can dull your mind very seriously.
My honest take for you is to pray for a miracle healing. Why don't you visit Joel Osteen's church and get healed. While waiting for a better time to go there, why don't you pray hard and focus all your attention to Jesus Christ or God. It's a good remedy if I may say so. For now this is my take. Any further comments is welcomed. Thanks! Love: Bro. Joe. GBU
