Deprivation of our own right is against any law. Also ignorance of that law excuses no one. Just to make things a little lighter. I just read something interesting related to this. In several countries, including Estonia, France, Spain, Finland and Grece, Internet access is already a human right.
How about you in your own country? Is internet access already a human right?
I hope that the lawmakers of my country will be working on this religiously with proper implementation.
It really pays to be online with the rest of the world.
Se we can all stay connected, myLot 24/7.
Please share your thoughts on this. Thanks

In the US there is rights to the internet but there are also allows about the internet to protect people like certain states have gone against cyber bulls. It is a human right it's part of freedom of speech at least here in the US to express yourself and if your paying for it then its yours just as much as the next persons.

The government can control certain things when it comes to internet. Actually the government has a right to track every move we make on a computer this is how they get a lot of criminals off the street because a lot have hit the net to get people to buy things or do things. But you can say or do as you want online they are slowly trying in each stat to ban cyber bullying

Hi there again petersum! I'm about to go to bed then I see your response. I made a reply immediately.
Here it goes:
Right of every person in that country to be connected to the web. Their government observes this right by building infrastracture, satellites etc. in a way that the coverage of internet access is virtually 100% to their population.
That's what I know basically.
You make me awake.

Strange that I'm in Greece and using an Italian company to connect to the Internet.
Why is it that when someone tells me I have something, I get the feeling that I don't really want it? I'm too suspicious of government. Well they sure get enough tax!

Internet access a human right? How? It is a human right here in the US if we have the money for the access. Religiously and with proper implementation? What does all this mean? It is wonderful to all be connected. That is for sure. But we must all be responsibile and make the money to get the access too.

I don't think that the internet is a right. I don't think of any nonessential item as a right. Food, water, shelter, clothing, I think those are basic human rights. Entertainment like cell phones, television and computers/internet are not a necessity. Sure, they make life EASIER, but you dont NEED them to survive.

I have not heard of this before. I do not know also if my understanding is correct but does it mean that the government will provide the internet connection for every citizen FOR FREE? That we no longer have to pay for our internet connection bills monthly? If that is a right then I will be really glad. I could save one thousand a month. But honeslty, I do not think that it could happen to my country as of the moment. They say that every individual has the right to work but there are millions of people who are unemployed. Sadly, many of our rights are not guaranteed.

I've never thought of it as a "right" but I love having the opportunity to network with others via the internet.
In my mind, it is a luxury and a blessing. It's also a choice because I don't have to subscribe and have internet access. I could spend money in other ways if I chose to do so. It's a priority for me to pay for the internet.

As of now in India internet access doesn't come under human right. We all use internet as any other communication mediums. I have unlimited usage plan and can use it 24/7.
