PRECIOUS, save me?

My salary is just enough for my family. Sometimes it doesn't. I have payable monthly - bills, utilities, groceries, medicines and stuffs like that. I admit I'm trying to save some of the excess. Hopefully, I can make that big by the end of this year. Enoughto buy something that my wife and I can enjoy for a long time. In your current situation, can you still save even a small amount? Do you save for you to have enough to buy a precious thing? Do you put on the bank, invest or just keep it in a secure place at home? Just want to know your opinion. Thanks

Hi friend, sad to hear about this. Hope you will save more money in the near soon and my wishes for it. it is really hard to save money in this present world, as every thing are expensive now. I am just saving 10 dollars per month as saving for my kids, it is really hard to allocate the money, but we are in need to save some thing for our kids for their future

You are right. Savings is something I need to earn it now for our daily expenses and in times of emergency

I know that the economy is tough, but I do try to save as much as possible. I save my change after breaking bills and it surprises me how much I can save. I put all this money in my savings account. I am currently not working, but I am attending college (getting a Master's) online and I save most of my finacial aid money. I am saving my paypal money until the beginning of August so I can do something special for Randy's birthday.

I created a budget about a year ago cause I am known for blowing money on shopping, vacations and just going out having fun! I still set aside money for that but I watch closely what I spend and the past year I have saved a lot of money. I keep it in the bank so it gains interest. Budgeting really showed me how much money I wasted on stupid stuff. Now when I treat myself it means more to me :)

Your budget must be comprehensive. I really like it like that. Sometimes we separate those must-buys there and luxury thing there. Good job. Thanks

I try t save a few amount but honestly when i would want to eat good i won't be able to save the money and with the little savings i can put to rest i am sacrificing a few things like fare and i would walk instead, and so on. its really hard getting by these days.

Thats what I do when I was younger. Save for something to eat good. Walk instead of taking a cab. I still do it now. Thanks

yep, even i am not earning that much, i am proud to say that i still manage to save even small amounts of money, both only coins. i do save money on long terms, like until six (6) months, and the reason is not to treat my self with pleasure, nor to buy something precious to satisfy my cravings, but i do it for my daughter's needs, like to use my saved money on her educational (field) trips and for allowance. i have no bank account or whatsoever, and i entrust my saved (non-coins hehe) money to my mother, who is only one door away from our house. as for the coins i am saving for my daughter, i use a foot-long cylinder shaped coin bank and i store it in our closet.

Now after two surgeries and few months abent from company, I lost my job. When you have no job, anxiety will always around you. So I should do something to chang this bad and pathetic situation. Last year, I invested in shares market, but lose half of them. Poor stock market. I have a master's degree in a famous university in China, but it does not help me a lot, because I can not work in a lab anymore with my disabled leg.So an office-sitting work is what I am looking for.
