Hi mylotters
, I found out a better way of mylotting. I was really busy with my works at college, and there was not much time for me to log in here. So in order to respond to the discussions, I have been using a trick. I will explain it here
.
Before I am leaving from home, I connect my laptop to internet via my home modem. And I open as many discussions as possible in browser and click 'Respond to this discussion'. After opening many discussions I disconnect the laptop and carry my laptop with me, so that I can type my response to the discussions when ever I am free. After reaching home, I again connect my laptop to the modem and post all the contents one by one. How's it? What do you think about my new method? Have you ever tried something like this

That's a pretty cool method of responding to Discussions, thewonderboy. I would have never thought of doing things that way.
How is college going?

Well, if you can actually type in the responses, so that they would be able to post once you are back online, this would be a Good method of doing things. For me many times when I am not here at home, or somewhere I can access the internet via WIFI I am a lot of times posting back in myLot via my phone, thru my Email and such. But anyway we can find helpful to do so is a Plus for sure.

I logged in MyLot with mobile phone. So, I can log in MyLot, whenever and wherever. Amid my bustle, I always found time, to open MyLot, using a cellular phone. Every day, I always login MyLot. I'm not logged in MyLot, if I do not have a pulse.

Hello indahfth, just like you there are so many users in mylot who consider mylot as a part of their life. I also log in to mylot through my mobiles. But it has a very slow connectivity

Wow! I am amazed to read about the tactic you have mentioned. It certainly shows how much you love this place. My hard disk has crashed since Thursday and I was unable to log in for a couple of days. I have recharged a data card on my phone so that I can access Mylot. Though it is inconvenient to post using this phone(sometimes my responses are getting posted twice or the pages are reloading on their own even before I hit the post response button) yet I am still not having to live entirely without Mylot. That is my only solace till I acquire a new computer by next week. However, of late I am disappointed as my star has gone down from 9 to 8. I have a feeling that I am deliberately being rated down by some people. I have done nothing to offend anyone and this is depressing me.

Hello oindy54, yes I really love mylot. Noe it is just a part of my love and I love to spend time here. I normally have a recharge of Rs. 15 of TATA DOCOMO. They provide us with 500 MB usage for 5 days

Wow... There's only one word to describe you.... 'Passionate myLotter'!!! I could not have devised such a method ever. I use my phone mostly to write here.. My phone's my internet provider... So even though I appreciate your method, I can't employ it... I admire your passion however. You are using everything that you've access to, to be on myLot... Keep it up!

Hi... No phone browsing is slow... It is not as efficient as computer or laptop... The typing gets a lot slower... On a real keypad, I can go 50 words per minute.. On phone I can do 10 or 12 per minute... I do it on phone, just because i don't have a computer or laptop... LOL... Keep up the good work...
Happy Lotting!!!

Yeah thewonderboy, I have been using such method for quite sometimes. I started doing so due to the interruption of internet happened very often earlier. Another thing is the modem would be struck by the lightning. I hate to replaced a brand new one paying extra expenses and I will open many tabs at the same time and with the response pages available. Doing so I still could type posts chosen from my interests even the modem is turn off to prevent from damaged by the lightning during rainy day
If going for vacation, I would like to copy and paste both the discussions which are interesting as well as their respective page address. When I'm free before bedtime I can read and type the posts too even without any internet connection. I get all the posts saved in my laptop. Whenever wifi is available I then can post them straight away
Happy posting

The night before I go on vacation I usually would copy and save the discussions which I'm interested as well as their respective page addresses in my laptop. Doing so I can respond to the saved topics in hotel or apartment room before bedtime. I will post them when I am in outlet where wifi is available. First open the right page by copying the page address and hit the enter button. I paste the content I had typed earlier and send it straight away

Well, to be honest, I do not know, so I never tried that method. I still prefer to work on Mylot in a different way.
Maybe my method will be less profitable than yours, but I prefer it.
I try to keep the media in response to discussions at least ten per day. I do start a new discussion only when I'm really inspired to write something about.
That said, each of us, here on Mylot, has its own methodology.

Each of us have different ways and different style of mylotting and it differs from to another. The way and the style depends on ones like. I submit that a mylotter should choose the way which he can find more fun over here.

This appears to be new. I have not tried this so far. I always type while the laptop is connected to the internet. your suggestion will be useful for people who have to travel without internet being connected. good.

I think this will be much helpful to rate your internet bills too and this is one of the significant importance of the trick.

You are wonderfully clever! That's a good idea. Bad thing I can't carry around my laptop-first of all, I don't have a proper bag for it, and those are so damn expensive these days, secondly, I wouldn't have any time/place to write the answers (for example, while I'm travelling on the underground, I wouldn't pull my laptop out to type, because safety isn't a strength in these places).

If you feel insecure when you travel then it is better to not use it. Anything can happen at anytime. So just be alert at what you are.
Happy mylotting

Hello there,
I am not so sure about it. The thing is, when your laptop is disconnected from the modem, your browser will just go off itself, right? Since you don't have any more internet connection, unless you are using wifi to connect to your modem.

Yeah ivade000, all the opened tabs are available and remain the same if the laptop is still on. I always turn off the modem before going out or during rainy day, to prevent damaged by the lightning. Once the internet is reconnected we can post all the complete posts
From the way you do mylotting. Not only diligent, I could imagine how cordial and passionate you are towards mylot posting thewonderboy

, even though we disconnect from the internet the browser and the opened pages in the browser remains there with out any changes. So when I reach my home I can connect my laptop to my internet connection and post those contents

But how do you do that, when you shut down everything you have on the browser will be gone right? Or do you save the webpages first?

I don't used to shout down my computer. I just used to to put my PC in stand my mode so that the computer runs with low power and with this mode you can save the life of battery. This is what I do
. I hope you get me

I cannot open so many tabs as once for mylot, but I find when I am on a mylot page and I shut my computer down either by closing the lid over it or by shutting down the computer as long as I press log in afterwards, it does open at the same page. So it does work.

That is exactly my problem wonderboy. I can not log in and participate most of the time because my job requires me to be assigned in different places. Sometimes the place doesn't have an internet connection. Well, with your suggestion, perhaps I could respond to more discussions. You've got a brilliant idea!
