You know someone is serious about their chocolate chip cookies when they duct tape the package closed. I'm not sure who did it but I don't think it was done in a mean way. I thought it was funny! (Maybe they just thought it would hold it shut better??) So what would you do if you were serious about your chocolate chip cookies? You can make something up, anything silly or funny if you like. Just tell me a story about it abit.

Haha that is too funny, sounds like something I should do to keep my mother out of the cookie box and ice creams!
Last summer I felt like an ice cream so mum said there was one chocolate cornetto drumstick left that I could eat. I was very excited so went to the freezer, the box was in there and when I looked inside there was just a crappy generic no name brand ice cream in there! She then claimed not to have known about it but seriously who puts a different brand of ice cream in another box? The answer, she does! I wasn't too impressed but thought it was funny :D

I guess she does. My friend tells me of a time when her mom was alive and they'd just order the pizza from this one place but it was always cause her mother really loved the dessert they got from there afterward and not really the actual pizza. People are funny sometimes.

Haha! That's cute. What I saw on the internet, was that a company created a locket specificially designed for ice-cream boxes, and there was some demand for it. I thought it was funny, too, that some people are so scared of someone eating their ice-cream... but if I think about it, I'd be mad if someone ate my ice-cream, though :D.

I knew what you meant, how cute to invent a lock/locket for someone's ice cream. I think that would be more of a joke than something really serious too. I had ice cream earlier and wow the entire box is almost finished now (I didn't eat it all though at once, it's shared here).

Duct taping is good... Maybe they did it to kind of steer people away from them, or maybe it was to keep the container good and shut. Who knows, maybe it was just a system they use at home to keep people away from there food? lol.
If I was really serious about my choccy chip cookies I would probably nail it shut! lol!

I can take or leave them, normally I can't even eat chocolate much anymore as I've cut back on sweets alot. The thought of it (and some other sugary foods in general) on my teeth is disgusting now, for the most part, actually. It's just a semi aversian I have had at times, other times I can tolerate it. But I think they just didn't have any other tape around and it was the first thing they saw and used. No one hoards food here or is that protective of the food as we all share it equally.

I would make up the best recipe for chocolate chip cookies and keep it to my self. I would be the only one that could make these delicous cookies. I would make them special for my family and show my love for them in this way. I think the duct tape thing is pretty funny. Duct tape is great stuff!

I'm the only one who bakes here anyways, so it would be a breeze to do that. It does hold things together, i need it for my brother's mouth, haha. I'm sure he thinks he needs it for mine too. Thats what happens when you live together with a sibling though.

Duct tape can be used for many purposes, but using it to seal a package of cookies is too funny. I have a couple of cookie recipes, but I have to rewrite them and change the recipe so my diabetic husband can have some too. My dad makes some great cookies (ones with white chips, chocolate chips and dried cranberries). I would love to duct tape my sister-in-laws mouth (she is the family gossip and thinks she is Mrs. Know-it-all).

Hehehe... Sound's like something I would do to keep my 2 year old son out of the cookie box! When he gets a hold of a box of cookies they are gone gone gone!

Oh yea, you have to keep a watchful eye on the little ones too. They can be notorious for finishing an entire box of cookies. I never did it as a kid but I could do it as an adult if I still didn't have that self control. Plus the fact I know what that would do to one's body in the end, ack.

reminds me of when my oldest duct taped a box of burritos in the freezer on the end. my daughter said, whats with the taped box and he said i had no way to close it because of freezer burn, didnt want to leave it open.
so take some out and tape it back. @courtknee525 (3742)

Lol whoever did that probably did it thinking that the duct tape would seal the package and keep things fresh longer. If I have an open package of food, I usually put the whole thing in a ziploc bag to keep it fresh and keep ants and bugs out.

I have used bags too before. Right now someone put some leftover pasta in a used plastic bag that some fruit or veggies were in from the grocery store. I would have never put them in that, I would have used a dish or something. Now I can't eat the pasta, I feel like it's disgusting for some reason.

That is funny. I don't think it was to be mean. Some people just really crave certain things, and she really wanted them cookies. That's all.
I get serious when I am baking them. I run to the stove and get my spoon ready for when they are hot. That is when they are the best.
