Alexa Ranking !! I thougth it updates daily

Hello Friends :)
Many of my friends know that I am, in fact I was having a technology related blog. I recently got 1 page rank too for it...And after that I was quite active there. But now I have deleted my blog around one week ago.
There were few reasons behind it, and I knew that I would not able to give more time to it in future, because of other works. So I have decided to post my articles on few article writing site, from which I can earn better than from my blog.
Now, when I was active with my blog, I was used to check ALEXA ranking(which gives ranking to site as per traffic) of my blog regularly. I have read on alexa ranking that they used to updates those ranking on daily.. But today I checked my blog's(deleted blog) ranking, and it is still showing the rank of that deleted blog!!!
In fact, the rank has been increased since when I deleted my blog...
Lol.. Is it like that? That's clearly means that they aren't updating their ranking daily... What you think about it?

The question i want to ask is why have you deleted your blog it was good isn't it.
alexa rank i think they updated it daily but as i have no idea won't say much

Hi SAJ.
Well, For good blog or site, we need to be quite active. And I guess in future I will not able to give more time to it, so I decided to post my those articles on on other site, by which I can make quite more amount than my blog.. . In fact I have already earned few $$s already.

Expert Column is in my favorite list so far ... So I am doing good with it. So far having 70 articles with them, and will try to increase more. About selling articles, it is sometime good for getting instant payments. I mean if I am having quality article I can easily earn more than 1$ instantly with it...

I know it's not much, but I am starter at writing, so my articles are still not that quality.. But still it is good earning as I wasn't earning this much from my blog...
About technology relates stuff, yes they are in demand. But I don't think anyone will pay 10$ for just 100 words.. It's too much.

Maybe they are just delayed in posting their daily updates,hehe! An example is mylot. They do update our earnings daily but are late in posting it in our earning's section.

Yes all is possible.. But on their site I read somewhere that they are updating it daily.. But it may be like as Sunil mentioned... They may be updating it as per last three months data... Then the rank can go up and down until the total three months passed.

Hi MTR- you are right but the fact is Alexa takes three months summery in account collected from its tool bars loaded on other computers. Yes they do it once in a while besides the difference in time zone could well be another reason. Love to cuty.

That's strange but there might have been the method on the basis of which they have calculated it go through it

Oh! I was also thinking that it updates regularly and it gives the reliable ranks of the blogs and websites. But, this incident makes me more confused. How did that happen? May be their server is down or something like that?

No even I was thinking like you but it's not like that... Just read above responses , as per them they may be counting sites rank by sites traffic status of last three month.. So as per that it is possible that they are still showing my blog rank and it is keep getting updating .

Hi Akp- yes it does update daily but they take some particular points in account actually. If its still showing the ranking isn't the reason that do not update every day but this is basically the summery of last three months' data. Actually it depends on alexa tool bar that has been downloaded on different computers. Your data is coming from there which will subsidize soon.

Anand, i wonder why alexa is not updated the details, as you mentioned your deleted blog is having an highest rank than previous, it is really ridiculous. Are you sure your blog is deleted? Do you tried to open your blog?
