It is wise to wait. I know as a diabetic that if I don't eat by certain times I start to feel odd, I don't like that feeling so I try to eat around the same time every day and if you are ill you need to get better and feed your body the way it is used to being fed so that you can feel better.

well since I wrote this discussion I managed to go get the blood test, now I am doing a stool test. I need to get all these tests done before I see my doctor again.

I am sorry for that rose. Like you am maybe diabetic but not to the extent having lots of complications. I said maybe because it is been a very long time I never see any specialist on my diabetic. The last time I knew my sugar level was 186 the highest so far, that was about 5 years ago. These days, I guess it is acting up again because what I observed lately was I felt like there are lots of insects crawling on my face but not always.
I just founded the answer why I had two kinds of hunger. The other one is just a normal one unlike the other that it turns me weak whenever it strikes. Some of my diabetic friends said this happens when your sugar level drops. Is it true rose?
I hope you're already doing well these days rose...take care..

yes that is very true, you need to go see a doctor, 5 years is too long to not see one when you are diabetic.

I'm sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. How does a diabetic deal with these situations? I mean really...you CAN"T miss meals or you put yourself at risk...right? But if you are sick, you probably really don't feel like eating and if you do eat...does it come right back up? I go to the doctors so very rarely so I'm not familiar with blood tests and all but I'm guessing that like many procedures, you can't eat prior to?? It doesn't sound like a fun time...hope you are feeling better!

I have to fast for 14 hours before the blood tests, there is no other way. It is hard and I get weak if I don't eat but the heat makes me weak to begin with so it is not a good idea to fast when I feel like this. I will have to do it next week, hoping the weather will be a little cooler.

I would suggest that you relax and take enough rest before you go for the test. Drink a lot of water and take a good meal so that the test might show abnormally. I hope that you will come out of this ill day and cheerful again. How did you enjoy Canada Birthday?
