I started a new job last week that one of my friends had called me about and I was really liking the place and all of the sudden on Friday we all got called in the office and they gave us our checks and said they were closing down til further notice and my friend said it happened there before like 2 or three times! Bummer!! I really liked it there 
And I told my husband I wanted to go back to other job and he said to wait again! I can't stand sitting here! Urgg! He said to wait until he got me a car and last time he said that I sat here for a year!! And I don't make hardly any money on line like I used to! What would you do?

I would find a job anyway. I know you don't have a car. Is a bus/public transportation? I would look into that as a possible transportation solution.

I tried to do that and my husband told me no because of the heat here and I take blood pressure pills and the kind I take I can't be int the sun but to me I do not care because I was taking the bus to my job last year in this heat and other than that he told me he didn't want me taking the bus for other reasons because of the crime. I really want to go back to work! Believe me but he refuses to let me take the bus.

oj lord any time my husband had stopped me f rom taeking a b us to work he would quit being my husband. partners do not tell each other you c annot do this or that.you are not a child, he is not your parent.maybe where you live women like to be treated like that but here in the US we do not like that.we work when we need to,.

Yeah I have applied at several stores here that are in walking distance but I have had no luck yet.

So sorry that it did not work out. Jobs are hard to find these days because of the economy. It really sucks to lose a job that you like though. When you look for jobs are they close by? Can you walk or take public transportation?

I don't think I would wait, if I didn't want to. It is sad when things like that happens, especially when you like a job.

I understand your feelings. It is really hard to find work nowadays. But I hope you can convince your husband that you should find one and not wait considering that there are so many people also looking for work. For the meantime, I guess you are hook with online stuff and though it may not be that high of an earning, I guess you will just have to stick it out for the meantime and enjoy. Otherwise, you will surely get bored. Good luck on your plans...

I'd go stir crazy! Maybe you can find a hobby or something, or if the job you want to go back to isn't too far you can walk to work and back! It'd be awful to just sit and wait. I've done it before and it makes me crazy!
Maybe what you make online and at a new job can get you a good car.

I know it is hard to make money online. I am looking for a place to make money (besides here of course). I am also learning how to do crafts and am hoping to sell some things on items soon. I used to live in an area where I was always stuck at home,but now that I live in a bigger area I can get around by bus. I am taking a class in quilting and am enjoying it a lot. I am also in college and am enjoying that as well.

That's nice to hear you have something going for you that's great. The bus runs here every hour but my husband did not want me in the heat or around the things that have happened here lately crazy people doing stupid things out here at the bus stops.

Sorry to hear that! Especially since you really liked the job. I would just be honest with your husband and say you are totally bored at home and REALLY need something to do to get out of the house! let him know by you working you will be able to pay for a car sooner and it would make you happy.

I have told him that several times and he said maybe it would be cheaper if you stayed home! Urgg! I hate being here all day@!

I'm sorry to hear about your new job. I knew how it feels when you just stays home without nothing to do. You could apply for a new one but as you have said your husband don't want the idea. Maybe you could talked to him that it will be more easier to raise money for the car if you had a work too. I just hope you could convince him.

That is so sad to hear you lost the job that you like. Its best for you to find another work if you really want to. You can wait but you can be wasting time instead of helping out in your family's expenses. I hope your husband will understand if in case you will try to find another job. Good luck in job hunting and I hope your last work will come back in case you won't be able to find a new job easily.

Yeah I was really liking that place and I really miss my old job which they said when ever I am ready I could come back and I just can not wait to get out of here no matter when it is and thanks for wishi me good luck and a have a great day.

umh..then you can find another job, right? it takes time to find a job also...staying at home is really boring, but you can do many things else while finding a new job.
In here, it is really difficult to find a job because there are many companies closed day by day. Earning money is really hard also...Grrr...

As we know,one can not forseen his future,what he can do is to be prepared.Maybe your life will turn a point in the coming days.It is really hard for me to make much more money online,as sometimes I willbe busy in doing my office job.

This is what keeps me occupied and happy is my lot I would probably be so sad if it were to ever go but other jobs I do on line keep me busy they just doesn't pay much. But every penny counts to me when I am here I am always on my computer until it gets hot and then I have to turn it off for about 3o minutes.

Some people have multitalent.If you want job convince your husband and apply for new job so that you both work and earn money to buy a car of your choice quickly.Otherwise try to find in yourself that what talent you have in which area if you start any work you can succeed.Always thought positively before taking any decisions.Some body doing medical transcription jobs by working from home and some persons making their products sale on line and earning money.All depends upon the mentality of the people.Always think different from others you will get an idea that makes you become a potential person.

If I had this situation like you,maybe I would learn some skills to find another job. Women in this world have more broad choices than being a housewife.We all have a dream and sometimes we just need some courage to pursuit our dreams. Some day it will come true.

hi jahernandearivas I would go back to the other job after all your husband is not your boss, you are free to do that if you choose and he is free to cripe but not interfere,he does not own you, you should be partners.you can tell him you can help get that car
quicker if you are working.I have heard of companies hiring a whole bunch of people then firing them AS SOON AS THE JOB IS DONe. I had that happen to me. I had a nice job working helping print magazines but was there six weeks and wham they gave us all our checks and that was that the first and only time it ever happened to me.

Yes it is hard just sitting here all day for the last year and wanting to work so badly and I did have a couple of jobs one I quit because of my bad knees I just couldn't handle carrying all that equipment around heavy vacuums and other things like having to carry it to a third floor and all the bending and things you have to do to clean so many houses in a day and other than that some of the chemicals were making me so sick. Then the other job I just started and the end of the first week it shut downn! I am just going to keep doing what I do until the day comes I can go back to my job and they said I could come back anytime.

Just wait for what your husband planned. Or maybe you should try to talk honestly what is really you want. Do not do something secret in back of your husband, it can make your husband do the same thing. Sharing honestly what do you want to your husband it my advice to you.

I agree and I have told him so many times I am sick of being here but he begged me to wait so I am saying no more to him and just do the best I can on line until then. It is the beginning of the triple digit heats coming our way this week so not ready for that one! But anyway thanks for your response and I agree I would not do somthing behind his back only makes things worse.
