Me and my two sisters went to the peach orchards today to pruchase
peaches...well as soon as we arrived the rain started so we ended
up just pruchasing peaches...we were planning on picking them ourselves
just for the fun of it...but we ended up buying right from the farm.
We purchased white peaches and donut peaches and freestones....
The were excellent in taste..and oh so sweet...

Hello bjc66bjc
It sounds like you and your sisters had a great time at the peach farm today.
You have reminded me that I used to work on a peach farm when I was in high school. I would go to work right after school and I would work until well after midnight. As you may guess, I am not a fan of peaches.
However, most of my friends love peaches and some of them also love peach moonshine. I have a good supplier of peach moonshine and my friends are most grateful for my sharing this with them. Do you like peach moonshine?
Peace

thanks Page for your response, but I do not drink any flavor
of moonshine...I can't stand the way that liquid smell...its
sicking to me..
One summer I went home for my birthday and my siblings had a
group of friends meet me at the park and they were in a line
singing "Pass the jug like you use to do"...in that jug was
moonshine.
I was happy but couldn't join in the line...lol

I don't drink moonshine either bjc66bjc. But I do enjoy giving my friends gifts that they like.

THis reminds me I walked by the peaches in the store today when there shopping and they smelled so good. I remember my stepdad's mom used to make brandied peaches and they were so good. I haven't heard of these kinds of peaches. I am sure there are probably many kinds. They are as bad as watermelon for being juicy and making a mess when you eat them. I hope you enjoy them.

I love going to the farm and picking my own produce. We did this a few weeks ago with strawberries and will go in the fall for apples
we are lucky and live in an area with a lot of farms and cheap produce. I wish more farms woud allow you to pick your own though.

I have never picked anything so I would have like to
experience that..But it started raining just as we arrives
at the orchard...even the workers came in from the storm.
My cousin went to pick strawberies a couple of weeks ago
and she said it was a great expeience...She said it was
so many strawberries she just stayed in one area jus turning
around and she picked lot of berries...My sister went also
and froze some for me...I brought them back home....yummy!!!!

You ust reminded me of the time my parents took me peach picking as a child. It rained that day too... We ended up doing the same and buying them from the stands. Then we came back about 2 weeks later to pick them! When my children are older, I will be taking them to the peach farm. Also the apple orchard in the fall... Horse rides and hot apple cider! Mmmm...
