Does ANYONE Watch Bristol Palin's Reality Show, "Life's a Trip"?

Seriously, I'm really not trying to pick on Bristol or the Palin family in general; I guess I just can't believe there's anyone who still thinks they're relevant! I'd even heard the family had been "shopping around" a reality show and there had been no takers so I allowed myself to believe their WAAAYYY extended 15 minutes were really almost over. Then I saw the Lifetime promo and was, quite frankly, stunned! I guess the premise of the show is that former teen mom Bristol has so learned her lesson that she's now making a career of convincing other young girls not to do as she did...well, that along with filming a TV series. I really have to wonder what kind of message she's really sending to there would-be pregnant teens, however, since she's obviously doing quite well financially and probably won't ever have to do menial jobs like waiting tables or or slinging burgers in order to raise her son. Some kids may find themselves wondering if they too could end up a TV star by following in Bristol's footsteps! I know, most teens aren't the daughters of controversial political figures with ex-boyfriends who write their own books about their experiences and appear on talk shows to tell-all about his baby-mama and her famous family but 16 and 17 year olds don't always tend to see the big picture. Any comments or objective (or not!) reviews? Annie

Seriously I don't understand what the purpose of watching that show would be. Sarah Palin was a horrible person that somehow ended up in our government and now somehow her daughter is getting a television show. There are so many better shows to watch or even better yet activities to do. I will never even try to watch this show.

I've been scratching my head wondering what the purpose of MAKING this show was! I've always liked Lifetime Network but I have to say I've lost some respect for them since I learned of this garbage show. I read where it's all about "poor Bristol" crying about her missed opportunities, etc. - while living in a mansion in LA with her sister as her live-in nanny and earning the big bucks both for making the show and for working for organization that's supposed to be promoting teen abstinence. Something is VERY wrong with this picture! Annie

All of the reality shows on TV are starting to annoy me. I used to watch the Real world on MTV all the time and now it is just about drama, drinking and doing stupid things while they are drunk. I haven't watched Bristol's but I have seen previews and it looks stupid. I could care less about her or her family lol.

I agree; I find the entire genre beyond annoying! It makes me angry and frustrated that the networks have seemingly decided the viewers are all stupid and therefore willing to watch one stupid reality show after another so they no longer have to pay out as much for quality writers and actors to make GOOD drama and comedy shows. It seems like every show that gets canceled ends up being replaced by another reality show. BOO!! Annie

I saw it but didn't watch it. I have not interest at all in how she is doing. She is making it look like it is so easy to just have a baby at 16 and life will be grand! I am sorry but any "hardships" she has been through...aren't hardships to the normal 16 year old. She is from a wealthy family all set in the media etc. She acts like she is the first ever to be pregnant at 16! I'd say she's more a idiot for doing it at 16, and not doing it with protection! She is just saying...look at me! I did it at 16 without protection and life is grand! We dont' want to see how she is raising her child! She has it made and no comparison to those that dont. Like someone said here below...she isn't having to wait on tables or a fast food for mini wage and trying to pay her won rent and all that. That would be the mother that should be saying... learn from my mistake and don't do it at 16! I am sick of reality shows. They are all so phony. Edited, scripted etc. I have watched them from the beginning and they aren't like they used to be. Now...I would be willing to bet that they are told to be overly volital and emotional etc. I mean, come on..have you seen The Bachelorette/Bachelor lately? I don't watch it but occassionally just if there is nothing on and I am flipping channels or something, but come on...all the tears and emotion all over a guy they don't even know!!! I think TV has taken "reality" shows over board. I am surprised that Octomom hasn't been made into a reality like "Jon and Kate plus 8" was. And even them...I am sorry, but who wants to see how they parent and do for the kids? And the Duggers...the human baby machine...they all give bad ideas to kids and even older people that it is just the best thing ever to have a ton of kids that you can't support and all the problems are just peachy-keen, and don't worry, you'll get a reality show to pay the bills!

No I don't watch it. I have been hearing different opinions about it. I hear some people like it then others say no they don't like it. I don't think I am going to waste my time in watching it. It doesn't appear to be a very entertaing thing to watch.

I have yet to speak to anyone personally who has seen it, but I've read how bad the ratings are. I've also read that there are a lot of scenes with Bristol crying and basically feeling sorry for herself and how they played and replayed the scene that's been on You-Tube for months where Bristol rides a mechanical bull in a bar and then this obnoxious guy tells her how much he hates her mother, Sarah, and how if he believed in he11 she'd go there; anyway, Bristol's comeback was, "Why are you so full of hate? Is it because you're a homosexual?" It sounds to me like they BOTH came across as a$$holes...lol! Annie

I think the Palin's are morons. Look, all these reality shows are not very entertaining. They have no substance what so ever. And especially the Palin's. I doubt she has anything to off other teens and nothing to offer society. Look, Bristol Palin's mother is not the brightest bulb i the bunch. She is actually a bulb that is defective. I would be embarrassed of Sarah Palin if I were her child. She could never be president or vice president. And I wonder how she was even governor. It makes one wonder what shape this country is really in.
