Hello friends and mylotters! I am now wearing eyeglasses, yay! Actually,I am wearing it again for the second time,oh my! I had eyeglasses before because of my astigmatism but since my little daughter always takes it off from my eyes,I decided not to wear it anymore and I gave it to my sister who needs it too. I am wearing eyeglasses for the second time to help me with my migraine and my eye problems. I just hope this will really help. I am still adjusting, lol! Do you have anything that you have again for the second time?

Hi MTR- I am pleased to note that you shall be wearing your eye-glasses again and I am pleased for obvious reasons because that would make you more active with you reading and writing activities once again, which were missing for last 6-7 months for different reasons and I presume this was one of them. Now I know little cutie has begun going to school that would provide you with a few hours to spare for yourself. I am sure you shall take full advantage and that would bring you back to us where we all are waiting for you eagerly.

Suny friend, you always make me smile with your comments, thanks my dear friend!Yes,I think I'll be staying more enough time here in mylot since I am now confident that my eyes wont get stingy and painful when staying more than an hour here. And I followed your advice regarding an anti-glare eyeglass,my eyeglass now has anti-glare,yahu! I am happy with my daughter in school, she tells many stories about what they have done and she is really excited about it,haha! But when she's out for school for about 2 and a half hours,I take advantage of working online, hehe! Her school is just near our place. Take care suny friend!

Haha,oh my,as usual I look 10 yrs older wearing an eyeglass bunso, huhu! But if I do have a picture, will show it to you fb,haha! you said you just wear it when you work, why? Is it just an anti-glare glasses? Or you have astigmatism? So Kodak is better than Sony Cybershot?

I should have followed at once the advice of our friend, sunny, about the anti-glare glasses. Maybe if I have been using an anti-glare glass last year,I wouldn't experience migraine, huhu! But of course, regrets are always late, hehe! Is your Kodak the one you are using for RG pics?

Yes nay.. its just an anti-glare glasses but I'll be going to the optical clinic one of these days.. I might need a graded glasses soon! No, Cybershot is actually better but I have been using my Kodak for almost 3 years and I'm very comfortable using it.

Hmmm...I really don't know that wearing eyeglasses can help easing migraine until now. Thanks for sharing that information. So migraine is related with eye problems?

I think it is related. This is because when my doctor prescribed pills for my migraine, she also advised to get my eyes checked. But when I got them checked I did not have any power thankfully.

Hi agentgulaman! Yes,some eye problems contribute to migraine. When I first went to my doctor to consult my painful headache,it was then that I've known it's a migraine and she checked my eyes and suggest me to have an eyeglass. It may not fully take away migraine but it can somehow lessen the "trigerness" of it. @Oindy..I did not have any power thankfully..do you mean you don't need an eyeglass 'cause your eyes doesn't have any defects my friend?

Yes that is exactly what I meant dear. This was in last August when I got my eyes checked. I have not got them checked of late but if I start getting problems again, will go again.

Oh Good.... You got now a good solution for your migraine. I used to wear glasses earlier and it is for power. Now I have corrected it through a surgery and no need to wear it again. While holding kids in my hands, they would be attracted towards those glasses and it will be a great fight to save it . Hmmm.... After thinking for a long time I could not find which habit I started again second time.

Oh I am so late to answer you. Yes it is a kind of surgery. It is called Lasik here and it is a Laser surgery. Here no blood or pain. It is called corrective surgery and they do it to make the eyes normal from power.

Hi mtr, good to hear that you are wearing glasses to come out from the migraine, my wife is also wearing eye glasses while accessing computer, as she is having issues in her eye and doctor advised her to wear glasses. i wear sun glasses while driving, but now i am not wearing it, here after i planned to wear it, as it is very useful to reduce the hot of the sun

Some sun glasses can also cause vision problems. I have myself experienced this as well as heard many people telling so. Specially the cheaper ones can harm the eyes. You are right that sunglasses really reduce the glare from the sun and keep the eyes soothed. It is too blazing hot in Kolkata even if there are occasional showers and I just cannot step out of the house without my shades.

Hello Vidh! So Sri is also wearing an eyeglass,I think that's the side effect we get from staying too long with our computers. Oindy is right about the cheaper sunglasses, good thing you don't wear them. Just focus on the road while driving, stay safe.

Do you have anything that you have again for the second time? - I wish it were a guy for me this time! I have had the same frame for my eyeglasses since 2009. I've had the original lenses changed twice already, the recent change was a month ago and the last time I had my eyes checked was in January this year also. Between that period, my prescription had gone up a bit for my right eye but went down a bit for my left eye. Weird. I have astigmatism too.

Haha,a guy for you? Oh,I'm sure you will have that guy at the right time rej, you're pretty a nice person. Yeah, sometimes it's weird. Before,my left eye had astigmatism and my right eye doesn't have but now they both have, waaa!!! I wasn't able to continue using my eyeglass for my astigmatism before so it wasn't cured.

My friend,so you also have astigmatism eh! And we both had our astigmatisms worse. Before,it was only me left eye but now both of them have astigmatism, waaa!!! The doctor said I should wear my eyeglasses for six months to correct my astigmatism,I just don't know if I can do it,oh my! I look so old wearing my eyeglasses, haha! I haven't seen a photo of you with eyeglasses.

So the doctor finally advised you eyeglasses? I see. It is difficult to adjust at first. My friends told me they felt like a horse the first time they wore glasses! Is it that bad? I get skin problems like acne and rashes not just a second time but loads of times. But what is bad is that I tend to get bitten by poisonous insects more than twice. The last time it happened in April. I don't know what it was but when I got up in the morning I was unable to open one of my eyes and my entire forehead and eye area was swollen and painful. I had to rush to the nearest hospital and this thing took over a week to subside with medications. I don't know why but I am the favorite of insects! I really hope your migraine problem goes for good this time.

Then the feeling is universal after wearing glasses for the first time. Thanks for confirming friend. I am glad to know that after more than a week you have got adjusted to it. I might need them any day so it is always good to know things in advance.

Hmmm...I wonder what it feels like to be a horse, hehe! What I felt last night is like I feel there is always stairs when I'm walking,oh my! So I have to go back to the clinic again today to let them adjust my eyeglasses. I suggest oindy you just go for contact lens instead of eyeglasses. If you have some irritations wearing eyeglassed, contact lens is the best alternative but they are only quite more expensive. Maybe your skin is sweet that's why insects like you, just kidding, hehe, just making you smile. I wish we wont encounter such migraines again. @bunso..I saw you in your eyeglasses on fb,hehe!

Hi mtr So where is the pic? Btw, these eyeglasses can be replaced with contact lenses and I believe you would be more comfortable with those. And if I remember right, your hubby did mention that your eyesight might be an issue for the migraine.

50 years Wait. We have been reversing those numbers right! remember jaiho mentioning the 23 to be 32 on my discussion... so 50 turns to 5 and dear crystal has a new friend The thing about laptop and anti glare is right. I remember that the optician here had told me that exposure to Monitors, TVs etc cause dryness in the eyes and hence one should use anti glare glasses and there are also some eye drops to be used

Waaa...and I'm very far from looking like a 5 yr old one, haha! Well, that's why you are my friend buddy, lol! I've actually known about the anti glare glasses from our friend suny here and I told it to my doctor and she said it's true. so now I am confident that even if I am in front of my laptop for more than an hour,my eyes is fine, hehe! With regards to the eye drops, she did not prescribe any to me. What kind of eye drops did your optician prescribe you buddy?

Hehe,I haven't taken a shot of me with my new eyeglasses buddy, kinda shy to show it her 'cause my niece told me I look like 50 yrs old, huhu! Oh well, never mind the oldy look,I just want to get rid of my astigmatism and lessen the cause of my migraine. My doctor told me that I will have this eyeglass for 6 months only,so it's practical to just have an eyeglass rather than contact lens, buddy. And after 6 months, she said I can just wear a anti-glare eyeglass whenever I am in front of my laptop.

I hope wearing them will help you to get rid from the migrane and along with enjoy the things around us. Take the doctor advise and stay with it. Months before i was having small bumps on my face, which usually happens to every one of us during the maturing period. Due to this bumps i was looking very bad. So i decide to consult my self to a doctor and she asked of to have some medicines. I had them for many months and i found out the improvement in myself. Finally i had to stop having thems, my face was clear and good but now a days those bumps are again appeared and when i consult to the doctor she asked of to have the same medicines again. I hope everything will come fine.

Oh! I wonder what caused those bumps on your face thewonderboy. It may be an allergy so you should be aware of the food that you should avoid. I know it's not good to take medicines for months as they may have some side effects in some parts of your body. Is there any alternative for the medicine you are taking? I mean why not just a cream that you can apply on your face or some natural remedy for it so it wont be that harmful.

my braces. I've had my braces for the second time already. It is actually annoying cause I've already had braces when I was a kid for two years. And now my new dentist says that my old dentist did a bad job on my teeth so I had to do it all over again. Boo. Another two years of metal!

Hi, my dear friend too, my two daughter are also wearing eyeglasses for the reason that their right eyes cannot see. They also have astigmatism but not both eyes. The eldest has 275 eye grade for her right eye and the younger one has 175. I have them checked by the eye consultant because they always say that they cannot see. And you know what, upon hearing from the doctor that they will have eye glasses they are very happy to have them. But for me I felt sad because both of them should have eye glasses and it is very expensive. I love my kids so I look for ways and means to provide them their needs. Thank God that many helped me of my problem.

Hi my new friend! Welcome here! It' sad to know that your kids are already having eyeglasses at a young age but then they need that. I think the blindness of their eyes is hereditary. Does anyone in your clan suffer from that eye problems too? You're a good mom my friend. We love our kids and as much as possible we wanted to give them the best.

Hi friend! So they inherited it from their father,no doubt. I honestly have no idea about glaucoma friend,I just heard of that disease but don't know its causes and treatments. But I have searched something about it and it says it can lead to total blindness when not treated immediately. I think you should tell your hubby to consult a doctor and know the right things to do before it get worst. Here's something you can read about glaucoma, for your knowledge: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glaucoma (not a referral link)

Hello my friend... my husband has suffered glaucoma and his left eye cannot anymore see. His vision is only 10% left for the other eye but still he drives a motorcycle. I guess they inherit from their father. Is glaucoma curable because I am very worried that my husband will become totally blind very soon.
