I have seen insane people walking around in my neighbourhood and I am curious to know what is on their mind? Have any one of you have mental illness, I think depression, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder cannot be compared to insane, insane is totally out of mind, tell me what do you think?

Mental sickness varies in degree. Most of the problems are just a manifestation of what happened in your life most probably when you are young. Others occurs when you encounter a traumatic life event. No one is very safe when it comes to getting a mental disorder. You just have to pray and hope that it will not happen to you.

Yeah, you are right! That is why I am starting this discussion to get people aware of this mental disorder that is evolving quite fast for the past decade. Most people who don't have mental disorder do not care to know how to prevent it, we should know there are this type of mental illness in our society.

I honestly don't think that it is possible to pinpoint what is on a person's mind when they are insane. I think that what is going on in a person's mind is as individual as the person themselve. With that said, I hope that I never end up being a person that is completely out of my mind. Through my life I've struggled with some mental illness in the form of depression during my life and I don't want things to get any worse than that.

yes, getting out of my mind is worse, I feel terrible on earth then in hell, how could I live with a state of mind like this? I pity those people who are out of insanity, some of them left by their family to wander in the streets, picking up rubbish to eat, I really pray for myself I won't get sick like them, I hope God will help these people to get well,...and blessings.

Yeah, I saw one insane man who helds a knife that day, nearly kill my mom when he play with the knife. Luckily we are both safe now, I just thought how worse that could be, what could happen to some other mental illness patient is different from insanity person and I would like to know what is on their mind.

No, I don't have a mental illness, but I've talked to people who have been struck by these illnesses. They seem to be better than I have imagined and you can still talk to them just like normal people. Some of them are even highly intelligent. Others even have amazing talents such as sketching portraits. But when they have episodes, they get delusional (seeing or hearing things that aren't really there). They also have some unusual habits such as staying in one place for a long period of time and maintaining a stiff posture (catatonia). Other patients are much worse, they cannot talk in such a way that you can understand. When asked to write, they write meaningless words.

Each one of these people is an individual and so each will be different. But certian types of illness causes certian symptoms. To answer your question you would have to know just what is wrong with each one. But to all you see you can send prayers or healing energy, this can do no harm and will help in ways you may never see but will know that you sent what you could to people who need help. Blessings

I know many people who are mentally ill, and there is a big difference between the different illnesses like anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, borderline disorder, schizophrenia etc and even people who have the same disorders don't have exactly the same thoughts or symptoms. Some of the mentally ill people are psychotic, and they find it hard to tell the difference between the things that are real and the things that aren't real. They think that their thoughts are real. I know someone who is schizoprenic and he is often paranoid. He thinks that people are planning things behind his back and that they have bad intentions. Because of that is the very hard for him to trust other people. I think that his paranoid thoughts are very far from the truth, but to him those thoughts are real.

With any person that has a mental illness, different things go on in their minds. For instance, I knew a guy that was severely bi-polar, to the point where his mood would go up or down within a matter of seconds. When he was happy, in his mind, I was his best friend, but when he was upset, I was his worst enemy. I don't think anyone is truly just totally out of their minds insane. Most have legitimate mental illnesses (tourettes, aspergers, schizophrenia, depression, bipolar, etc.) And you'll never TRULY know what's going on in their minds unless you ask them, is my opinion.

Ok, I am aware that people have make different comments. I tend to be critical. What do you mean by insane people? Perhaps you should describe what you see. How do they walk? Do they dance all the time (which is probably nothing, but maybe too much for a culture)? Do some just talk loud out of nowhere? The word 'insane' can be used in many different context. It can be used in our casual conversation. Although the word 'insane' is not used much, people would say 'You're crazy!' This does not necessarily mean out of ordinary. It could be that that person has exhibited different types of unusual behavior possibly for excitement. Insanity could also describe performance. Couple months ago, there is the word LINSANITY. It's part US media labeling the hotness of Jeremy Lin's performance. If you don't know Jeremy Lin, he has been considered the Asian sensation for NBA basketball here in the US. As far as performance, the word can be used to describe part of movies, play, or anything cool. Ok, enough explanation, although there could be few more.

I have difficulty to identify whether it is me or them that is insane. I like my chicken rice. They like their KFC. Why do they call me "Crazy! Always have chicken rice everyday!". I mean, what is wrong to have the same food everyday? Are they insane if they call other people insane? I think I am not even if they always call me that. I am very clear in my mind that what I want to eat. I don't need those insane people giving me insane tips. I know I am being insane if I like to eat roses for breakfast out of a sudden. But I am not. Although I do love roses.

How do you know the people walking around in your neighbourhood is insane? Perhaps they're just playful or something. Or drunk. What do they do that make you identify them as insane?

A person with mental illness should be treated equally with normal people. It depends on how are we going to maintain our insanity. The coping mechanism for having mental illness need to reinforce a particular medicines.
