My hospital bed is coming tomorrow

Finally. It's been since June that my doctor ordered a hospital bed for me. My cor pulmonale has become a bit worse... when I say worse.. I mean that I have to use the oxygen more and laying down on a regular bed is often not the best way for me to breathe. I keep a bunch of throw pillows on my bed to help to keep me elevated some so I can breathe better, but I usually end up flat by the time I wake up.
I had been trying to get this done for myself, but they kept saying they didn't get the fax from my doc. That was a crock because my doc had it sent the fax in in June. Then they resent it because the company said they didn't get it. Then they said they would call and call me back to confirm the order was gotten... nothing... well today... my daughter called them and she wasn't as nice as I was. When they said they would call and call us back, my daughter said.. NO.. you never call us back, so call now while I'm on the phone. So she did... and now tomorrow I will get my new bed. My old bed will go in the third bedroom and I'll have to sleep there tonight until my bed comes tomorrow.
Have you had to be stern with a company to get them to do their job? I could have never got this done because I can't talk when I am anxious or stressed out. The words are unintelligable... so I'm glad I have my daughter to talk for me.
Your thoughts?

its sad that you have to complain to get anything done but sadly we do. Companies have a resonsability to there customers to deliver a good customer service so why should we have to complain to get things done.

This company bought out the company that took care of me. They are so inept. My daughter even called my doc to complain about this company. I'm so glad I'm getting it tomorrow.

I am so glad that your Daughter put her foot down as it is ridiculous that they made you hang on like this they do not seem to realise that there is a reason for you to have the Item that is why the Doctor wanted you to have it
I hope as from tomorrow you will be able to breathe better

Yes I'm lucky to have her. I can't speak, literally. As soon as I get anxious or stressed my ability to speak goes too.

I am glad you have your daughter to speak up for you too. I have had to chase down companies when my first hubby was ill. It was not about medical things, but such things as appliance repairs and roofing and air conditioning. Telling me I never ordered parts, telling me they were too busy for new customers. I dealt with other people and to this day I freely tell people why they should not deal with the ones that provide poor service. Oh, you asked about grab bars once, and asked about suction ones. I am working with a client now who has one and it is really sturdy, surprised me. Might be good to get if your doc will order it.

Yes GG I was asking about them. My insurance won't pay for them. I'll probably order them from amazon when I can make it happen.

Wow! Hatley! That's a long wait. I believe I would have had to wait nearly that long to get anything done if it hadn't been for my daughter. She got ugly with them and the ball got rolling.

My thoughts are thank God for your daughter. she is obviously wanting to get you help when you need it and do anything she has to to get it done. thats what my son does when they try and jerk me around with things. him and my daughter here when it comes to medical and my life, they go to bat
in fact when i was smokeing, they often got mad and fought with me over that. and guess what? they was right. @PointlessQuestions (15397)

I was really amazed. She was like a bull dog about it. I had been passed the buck since June. My daughter said she WOULD get to the bottom of it and she did.
