I was making a search on "Interesting topics " in internet. I came across this article which I found will be of use for most of us: I am giving the link of the same: http://ezinearticles.com/?10-Interesting-Topics-of-Conversation-for-Every-Occasion&id=622750 It is mentioned therein: Here are a few interesting topics of conversation to get you started: 1. Who is the most interesting person you ever met? You can see how this would easily lead people to voice opinions and ask 'why?'. 2. Where in the world would you most like to visit? This dream location may be shared by others and so it makes people feel solidarity, but also, people will be itching to ask 'why?' and keep the conversation flowing. .....10. For me let me share an experience. Mr. Raman ( name changed) and myself were living in a campus having 16 flats about 15 years ago. About five months ago accidentally I met him in a book shop. He told me that he is working in a foreign bank in India even after retirement. I told him that I take classes in engineering colleges. After two months he gave me a call and said that there are opportunities for guest faculty assignment in their bank training centre and he suggested my calling on them. I went to their training centre and I was lucky to get an assignment for two days in June. The sessions were received well and the compensation is also very good amount. In fact the bank called for two more days and I could not take it up because I had to visit my daughter in canada and am in Canada now. There are such good people even now helping others. Share your interesting experiences like this.

ravisivahn when I first came here we had a teacher named Brooke who was teaching mental fitness twice a week. This was to help especially those of us who had had strokes but I loved the class as I took to the lesson. we were taught how to think outside the box, for example say you had a whole lot of clean new bricks so how would you use them in unusual ways,or you had four package of various sized safety pins what could you make with them or you had a chance to give an idea to a car manufacturer for new things in a car. here i won the day with my suggestion for a seat that slides out for a handicapped person say with a cane or walker. we learned to use our brains and thus to think and not become old senile people. I really loved her class. but it was sponsored by the Garden Grove school district and when they were shorted some three million dollars for the following year the classes for retirement homes were cut first. we also had a class called sing along which was sponsored too by the school district a married couple with violin and guitar came every week and played oldies and new ones and we all sang along. it too was cancelled. Now we have no classes like that and would love to find some one who would do these just for the thrill of helping elderly' people. Our activities director has come up with a good one an exercise class to improve our mobility. this is a good step in the right direction.

Hatley aunty I am happy you are having exercises, classes to make life interesting. Yes. old aged people have to be guided properly so that they forget their problems and are able to move along well. The good point is that Hatley aunty participates freely in such activities. good day.

My grandmother was one of the most interesting people I have ever known. She was one of 17 children. She operated one of the first computers ever invented. Her husband left her to raise her two sons on her own in a time when people did not get divorced. She worked and raised her boys in a time in a America where most women had husbands and she had no help raising her boys, she worked, she farmed, and she raised her children all on her own, she was also an amazing cook, an amazing gardener, and an amazing seemstress, and loved to play card games. The place I want to go most in the world is Italy. My grandparents on my Mother's side immigrated here from Italy, and I would love to go and visit the place of my ancestors, plus from the movies I have seen it is a beautiful place.

ladym you are now in usa. good. happy to note you are remembering about your grand mother. In spite of the fact she was one of the 17 children-- in spite of problems posed to her by desertion by her husband --she made a mark in her life. good day.

That was a good experience. If you like to teach I'm sure you enjoyed the opportunity and the money was probably very welcome also. I am a little confused though. You said you take classes in engineering colleges. Are you studying engineering or teaching it?

To teach someone how to reason is a daunting task. I don't envy you that. I was hoping you taught engineering since I have an engineering question that has puzzled me for many years.

Everyone has their own definition and how they make their life interesting. I have my own as well. I have discovered that life is not all about material things, success, awards that most people consider as achievements. Yes, it is exciting to be become famous, well-known and belongs to high profile society. But life is not all about limelight and luxury. Life is interesting when you share it with others. Others who are less fortunate and doesn't have any wealth or extra on their pockets. Life becomes interesting when a stranger thanked you for the help you have offered. When you made someone smile on their dying bed- that's how exciting life is.. ...and you will realize your purpose in this life. Just my opinion sir and have a great day

How to make my life interesting? I believe spending more time with our loved ones. We have so much to do but so little time. Time is short. That's my regret now, not spending the some time with my father. He is in the U. S. and i'm here in Asia. I hope I can visit him there. There is no way that he can return in Asia. Well, what makes life interesting? Expanding our horizon, do something new and productive, learning new language, a hobby or travel alone or with a loved or a friend for a change. Thanks
