So many reality or "game" copycats

There are all the copies of American Idol whether you consider it a game show or a reality. Then there are all the dance show copies. Now we have two more. CBS has Three which is a takeoff of The Bachelorlette on ABC. ABC has The Glass House(see photo) which is a takeoff of Big Brother on CBS. Just too many and all very similar. Why can't they make some good TV shows rather filling the air with these things.

I swear all these "reality" shows, game shows, competitions, etc. are all just ripoffs of each other. The first really big one was American Idol, then So You Think You Can Dance, and then America's (or whatever nation) Got Talent. Those were the ones I was okay with because it just makes sense, a singing competition would be very entertaining and could introduce new upcoming artists to the mainstream, a dancing competition could potentially be entertaining but for some, me for example, it might not be as entertaining if you don't understand dance, and America's Got Talent is good for those who are otherwise talented. The only qualm I have with AGT is that so many people sing and dance on the show when they could've just auditioned for AI or SYTYCD. And then all those other singing shows are just stoopid and I don't really see why they need to exist.

SO many people get addicted to these shows and I think they are stupid! Especially after you hear things like they are scripted and told what they should do or say. With the high number of ratings for reality shows I don't think we will see them off of the air anytime soon :(

I agree with the last poster to many get good ratings, so more are made. I'm not watching The Glass House, as there are so many things I can do instead. Its sad to see networks won't make good shows that aren't reality television.

yes, i agree with you about the copycat shows. i just watch american idol, americas got talent , dancing with the stars, x factor.the other shows for example the voice, so you think you can dance, glee, bachelorette are in the same category. i find by watching just these shows it is enough for me. i am contemplating american idol right now since the 2 judges are leaving. i don't know how i will go with that in the winter.
